This is a port of https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/inventory-tabs for 1.18, 1.18.1, 1.18.2, and 1.19.
Access nearby blocks without leaving your inventory. This is a clientside mod, nothing is required on the server.
Here is a video of it in action, showcasing the keybinds for next tab and previous tab:
Also has BigInv support!
New in 0.5.0-1.18.x, PlayerEx support!
If you are on the Quilt Loader, I recommend Portable Crafting Standalone, it has tab compatibility.
New in 0.8.1, Chest icons and hover text can be changed by nearby item frames!
New in 0.9.0, Entity Inventories are supported!
Massive thanks to cakewhip (KQP_) for making the original mod, and LiamMCW for updating it to 1.17.
Be sure to check out my other mods, Stacker, Workings, End Stone, Precise Armor, and Teeny Coal!
It would be nice if Scout ( https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/scout ), and ( https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/wizardex), were supported, tho a better solution is to just add some configs to allow people to determine if tabs are rendered on the top or bottom of the inventory, a tab offset for top and bottom for tabs to render in with (so just shoving them to the side for X amount of tabs) and a rendered offset for if people want to get fancy with tab locations. This should hopefully just let most issues be solved by people messing with the configs instead of needing to ask for support for X mod.
Please update to 1.19.4
question: is there/can there be compatibility with the mod "Storage Labels"(https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/labels). I saw that you can change the chest icon with item frames, is it possible to do the same with the storage labels from that mod?
Please, add frame support for barrels too!!
If you click the next button it crash on 1.19.2 fabric
[deleted - didn't realize the forge port of this was a separate project]
Is this compatible with Expanded Storage? https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/expanded-storage
Edit: It is now with the latest version of Expanded Storage
Can I increase the distance in which I can access storage blocks?
In reply to Tellergy_:
Right now this mod uses the maximum reach a player has, in order to be compatible with vanilla servers. In the future, I may implement a server component and allow for further reach customization
Is there a way to blacklist some blocks? I have a lot of hoppers to move things around, I dont really need acces to them and its kinda overwhelming to see that many hoppers on my inventory
1.19.3 compatibility soon?
In reply to MendingNights:
I'm also waiting on that.
PLS ADD IT!!!

InventoryTabs has been updated to 1.19.3. I am taking a break from modding at the moment but ThebestkillerTBK contributed a PR adding support.
why doesn't any of these inventory mods ever add the X on the corners of the inventory window like it does on bedrock? i've been lookin for a simple one but nothing ever lol
this mod looks nice but i don't know i'm new to using mods so i'm gonna take it easy with heavy stuff like this.
In reply to BennyfromNYC:
The reason why there are no mods which add the 'X' button is because most Java players are used to pressing their escape key. However it is the simplest thing to implement …
Furnace tabs should change texture when they are smelting or cooking for further convenience
In reply to big_pepperoni_nipples:
That is a fantastic idea! I'm currently taking a break from modding, but I will implement that feature in the future.
are there any forge ports you know of that you can recommend?
