Immersive Cooking is a Farmer's Delight addon intended to greatly expand the players' options when cooking, both in the form of new foods, tools, and decoration.
Immersive Cooking currently adds:
- 48 different Drawers, one for each type of wood, with either a smooth stone, blackstone, andesite, diorite, granite, or quartz countertop, as well as a standalone countertop. All, but the standalone, works like a pantry, but can only be accessed from the front, all other sides act like a normal block. The standalone countertops require at least one horizontal side to be solid.
- 60 different Counters, decorative version of Drawers, also includes Brick and Nether Brick, besides the vanilla wood types. Made with planks instead of a full Pantry.
- Stove Hood, a decorative light source perfect for stoves.
- Glazed Tiles, a basic decorative block
- Food, in the form of:
Diced Onions
Bamboo Slices
Potato Slices
Fried Potato Slices
Potato Cubes
Fried Potato Cubes
Raw Spider Shank
Smoked Spider Shank
Raw Spider Cutlet
Cooked Spider Cutlet
Pyttipanna
Some planned features include, but are not limited, to:
- Oven
- Knife Block
- Mixing Bowl
- Sink
- Pizza Stone
- Jars
I'll be updating some of the food item textures later, since they're not up to my standards.
Feel free to join my Discord, I tend to be relatively active there.
The counters and drawers don't drop when breaking them in survival
In reply to larsmans64:
Yes, I realized that what I was attempting to do to organize the files made it so that Minecraft wouldn't recognize them. I am releasing a fix plus some updated textures on either Friday or Saturday.
compatible with other wood mods?
In reply to CalebMaker:
As I currently have to manually make most of the things, no. I do hope to automatize a few more things, however, each would has it's own unique texture, and without sacrificing that, I have to manually make each one. I do hope to add compatibility to some other mods in the future, but that will likely be on the 1.18 version at this point.
Update to 1.18.2 please
In reply to blasing_ice:
I've started getting ready for the port, however, I'll be refactoring a lot of behind the scene stuff to make things more streamlined, and should help when adding more content. Most of the work won't be happening until the end of the month, unfortunately.
Might I suggest quartz + smooth quartz counters and countertops?
In reply to AleriaAlexie:
Sure! I'm currently changing the countertops to follow the standard block model, I could add them while I'm at it.
In reply to CrimsonDragonRider:
Very glad to see the quartz countertops having been added, but it seems when you try and pick it up again, it gets destroyed. Same with the quartz drawers. The other stone types ones doesn't have the same problem, seems specific to the quartz ones.
In reply to AleriaAlexie:
I'll take a look at what's up with that. I can't say why the Quartz ones should be different, though.
In reply to CrimsonDragonRider:
Took a look in the jar file, and it seems it's cause it haven't gotten any loot table files. Same goes for the counters. Hope that helps.
Hello, may I get a permission to put this mod in my modpack?
In reply to thollpj:
Of course! All my mods, unless stated otherwise, may be used in all modpacks that follow the rules regarding Minecraft mods.
Are you planning making food textures coherent with Farmer's Delight? (so it matches fully, not only with counter)
Because as much as I love counters and tiles, the rest has a bit lower quality, and this is a bit painful considering how coherent all FD addons are by far.
Also, if I could request, countertops textures in inventory could be smaller/angled differently, so it feels more like vanilla handles block rendering.
I hope you don't take my criticism harshly, I really love the concept of counters, just wanted to give feedback to make the mod even better ^^
In reply to Toma400:
I haven't actually compared them together, so I haven't really noticed that they weren't consistent, thank you for pointing that out! And yeah, I was meant to do that, but must've forgotten while I was making their models. I can't say when I get the time to fix it all, since I never had the time to port it to 1.18, like I thought I would've, but I'll try and have that done sooner than later.
As for criticism, I don't mind it, as long as it's actually criticism.
.
Please update this to 1.18.1
In reply to metziger:
I'll see if I have enough time this week to make a port.
1.18.1 plssss
