Ice and Fire: Poison Dragons

Ice and Fire: Poison Dragons is an unofficial addon for Ice and Fire: Dragons that expands the world with a completely new Poison Dragon species, unique variants, custom world generation, powerful equipment, a dedicated Dragonforge, new resources, and a full progression system built around poison.

The Poison Dragons are not simply reskinned versions of existing dragons. They are fully implemented dragon entities designed to integrate with the core systems of Ice and Fire, including dragon stages, riding, armor, eggs, skulls, loot, animations, combat behavior, and dragon interactions.

🐉 Poison Dragons

Four unique Poison Dragon variants can be encountered throughout the world:

• Toxic Green Poison Dragon
• Venom Purple Poison Dragon
• Plague Black Poison Dragon
• Acid Yellow Poison Dragon

Each variant has its own appearance, scales, eggs, and equipment theme while sharing the core Poison Dragon mechanics.

Poison Dragons use a dedicated poison-based combat system with a custom Poison Dragon Breath attack. Their behavior, animations, targeting, movement, health, damage, and follow range are integrated into the Ice and Fire dragon framework.

They can also interact with players in the same way you would expect from an Ice and Fire dragon, including riding and dragon armor compatibility.

☠️ Poison Dragon Breath

Poison Dragons possess their own custom breath projectile rather than simply reusing the attacks of Fire, Ice, or Lightning Dragons.

Their signature Poison Charge attack creates a dangerous poison-based projectile effect and gives the dragons a distinct combat identity.

Poison Dragons are also resistant to the standard Poison effect, making them natural creatures to face with poison-themed equipment and weapons.

🌎 Poison Dragon World Generation

Poison Dragons are naturally integrated into world generation.

Poison Dragon Roosts

Custom Poison Dragon roosts can generate throughout the world. These structures contain dragons, resources, and loot associated with the Poison Dragon progression.

The roost generation is based on Ice and Fire's dragon world-generation systems while using custom Poison Dragon generation and loot.

💎 Poison Dragon Resources

Defeating Poison Dragons provides access to a new collection of materials and dragon drops, including:

• Poison Dragon Scales
• Poison Dragon Blood
• Poison Dragon Flesh
• Poison Dragon Hearts
• Poison Dragon Skulls
• Poison Dragon Eggs
• Poison Summoning Crystals

Each Poison Dragon variant has its own corresponding scales and eggs, allowing players to collect and use different Poison Dragon materials.

Poison Dragon skulls also retain dragon stage information, providing a visual progression through the different stages of the creature.

🛡️ Poison Scale Armor

Poison Dragon scales can be crafted into four complete armor sets, one for each Poison Dragon variant.

Available sets include:

• Toxic Green Scale Armor
• Venom Purple Scale Armor
• Plague Black Scale Armor
• Acid Yellow Scale Armor

Each set contains:

• Helmet
• Chestplate
• Leggings
• Boots

The armor uses custom models and textures designed specifically for the Poison Dragon variants.

⚔️ Poison Dragonsteel

The progression continues with Poison Dragonsteel, a powerful material obtained through the mod's dedicated Dragonforge system.

🐲 Poison Dragonsteel Dragon Armor

Poison Dragonsteel is not limited to player equipment.

The mod also adds a complete Poison Dragonsteel Dragon Armor system compatible with the Ice and Fire dragon armor structure.

The armor is divided into four sections:

• Head
• Neck
• Body
• Tail

This allows Poison Dragonsteel to become part of your dragon's progression as well as your own equipment.

🔥 Poison Dragonforge

A dedicated Dragonforge Poison system provides the main method of creating Poison Dragonsteel.

The forge consists of custom components including:

• Dragonforge Poison Core
• Dragonforge Poison Brick
• Dragonforge Poison Aperture

The mod includes its own forge GUI, container, block entity, and custom recipe system rather than relying on a standard furnace or crafting table.

Poison Dragon Blood is used as part of the custom forging process, giving the materials collected from Poison Dragons a direct purpose in the progression system.

🌿 Poison-Themed Blocks & Items

The addon introduces a collection of poison-themed environmental blocks and resources, including:

• Poison Lily
• Acid Block
• Poisoned Block
• Poison Scale Blocks
• Poison Dragonsteel Blocks

Poison Lily can also be processed into Toxic Lily Mixture, adding another crafting component to the Poison Dragon progression.

Poison Dragons have their own dedicated versions of several Ice and Fire-style dragon items.

The addon includes:

💀 Poison Dragon Summoning

The Poison Summoning Crystal provides a dedicated item for interacting with the Poison Dragon system and forms part of the addon’s dragon-focused progression.

Combined with Poison Dragon eggs, skulls, scales, and other resources, it gives players multiple ways to interact with and progress alongside the new dragon species.

⚙️ Configuration

Poison Dragons are configurable through Forge's configuration system.

The following attributes can be adjusted:

• Maximum Dragon Health
• Attack Damage
• Movement Speed
• Follow / Target Range
• Minimum Distance Between Underground Nests
• Underground Cave Radius
• Cave Wall Thickness

The default configuration is designed around powerful late-game dragons, but server owners can adjust the values to fit their modpack or difficulty level.
