What's new

GTNH NEI LOTR v1.0.7

New

  • Added working NEI + recipe transfer support for LOTR crafting stations with real inventory GUIs.

  • Added automatic ingredient transfer for:

    • Middle-earth faction crafting tables
    • Hobbit Ovens
    • Alloy Forges
    • Orc and Uruk Forges
    • Dwarven Forges
    • Elven Forges
  • Reworked supported NEI workstation layouts to use the actual LOTR GUI slot positions, allowing recipe ingredients to line up correctly with their physical machine slots.

  • Reused LOTR's own workstation GUI assets and geometry where possible instead of maintaining separate approximations.

  • Added parallel-lane ingredient distribution for Hobbit Ovens and Forges:

    • Hobbit Oven ingredients are distributed across available cooking lanes.
    • Forge recipes are distributed across available forge columns.
    • Uneven quantities are split as evenly as possible while respecting slot capacity and existing machine contents.
  • Two-input alloy recipes now distribute complete ingredient pairs across forge lanes rather than splitting each ingredient independently.

Fixed

  • Fixed the NEI + button incorrectly showing "Mismatch crafting grid" for supported LOTR workstations.

  • Fixed overlay resolution for the exact runtime LOTR GUI classes used by Hobbit Ovens, faction crafting tables, Alloy Forges, and special Forges.

  • Fixed NEI recipe overlays failing to associate displayed ingredients with their actual LOTR container slots.

  • Fixed Hobbit Oven transfers placing all available ingredients into a single cooking lane when multiple compatible lanes were available.

  • Fixed Forge transfers using only the first compatible forge column instead of taking advantage of parallel processing.

  • Fixed Forge ingredient ordering to match LOTR's actual alloy-smelting behavior:

    • Primary ingredient uses the lower slot.
    • Alloy ingredient uses the corresponding upper slot.
  • Fixed single-input Forge recipes potentially interacting with occupied upper alloy slots.

  • Prevented NEI transfers from targeting workstation output or fuel slots.

  • Preserved occupied or incompatible processing lanes instead of clearing unrelated machine contents during recipe transfer.

  • Fixed Hobbit Oven recipe pagination so multiple visible recipes can correctly render separators between entries.

Compatibility

  • Faction crafting recipes continue to preserve their exact shaped layout, including empty cells, repeated ingredients, and alternate ingredient variants.
  • Ore Dictionary recipe alternatives remain supported during automatic transfer.
  • Kebab Stands and Ent Jars remain display-only because they do not expose normal player-populatable container GUIs.
  • Existing vanilla NEI recipe-transfer behavior is unchanged.

Developer

  • Added exact LOTR GUI/category overlay resolution instead of relying on generic NEI overlay lookup.

  • Added LotrIdentityStackPositioner for recipe categories whose displayed coordinates now directly match LOTR's physical GUI slot geometry.

  • Hobbit Oven transfer uses physical inputs 0–8, paired outputs 9–17, and excludes fuel slot 18.

  • Forge transfer uses four processing lanes:

    • Upper inputs 0–3
    • Lower inputs 4–7
    • Outputs 8–11
    • Fuel slot 12
  • Parallel transfer logic now balances available recipe operations across eligible lanes while respecting existing stack amounts, slot limits, output compatibility, and paired alloy requirements.

  • Removed the need for coordinate translation between custom NEI workstation layouts and the corresponding LOTR GUIs where the original LOTR geometry is now used directly.
