Several mods, such as Extra Utilities, add a bunch of cool glasses to your game. Like glass that you can see through but blocks light or glass that emits light.
Have you ever wanted to get that cool stuff, but without all the overhead of putting a major content mod in your modpack? Well look no further than Glassential.
Currently adds the following glasses, with more planned:
- Luminous Glass: emits light, just like Glowstone.
- Redstone Glass: emits a strong redstone signal, just like a Block of Redstone.
- Ghostly Glass: non-solid to all entities of any kind.
- Ethereal Glass: non-solid to all sneaking players/entities.
- Reverse Ethereal Glass: only solid to sneaking players/entities (and fluids).
- Tinted Ethereal Glass: the properties of both Tinted Glass and Ethereal Glass.
- Tinted Reverse Ethereal Glass: the properties of both Tinted Glass and Reverse Ethereal Glass.

I remember using this with forge on 1.12.2 then i switched to fabric. Great mod but does this work for 1.18.2?
Can this mod be supported by the Continuity mod or include your own connected textures.
The fact that the glass doesn't connect makes it look much uglier then it should.

mobs spawn ON ethereal glass before falling through , not nice when u have roof or mob spawner made from ethereal glass.
and btw why is it non solid to all entities.
ethereal should be player only else the ghostly glass has no purpose and is the ethereal useless when everything and their family can just walk through your glass

Will vanilla glass blocks eventually have a solid outline color in the future too for fabric like the 1.15.2 forge image?
Possible vanilla dye application to glass outline color like how the vanilla dyes work with sheep?
you should add in the abilities of the block from general Layman's Aesthetic Spying Screen (GLASS) into this mod maybe as like 3 or 4 new block!?
How long before you release the Dark Glass for 1.17.1?
My saved massive mob spawner schematic requires it. lol

Tinted Glass has been added in 1.17 and is vanilla.

Thanks for the info. Yes, Tinted glass blocks light.
Now to redesign my mob spawner.... I believe I used over 5000 dark glass blocks... I'll have to go back to 1.15.4 and change all the blocks in worldedit and... Nope... can't do that because tinted glass isn't used in that version....
oh well... Thanks anyways.
One solution to that could be to change them to some other, random block, update the world to 1.17, then replace the temporary blocks with tinted glass.
Or alternatively, edit the ID mapping in your schematic file directly

Yes, any mod on Curseforge can be freely used for any modpack also hosted on Curseforge.
If your modpack isn't on Curseforge you're free to use any of my mods as long as you credit the authors (like there are multiple ones here and on other mods too).
