Gentle Metabolism 2.1.0-beta.1 — Minecraft 1.20.1

Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Java 17 or newer, Fabric Loader 0.16.10 or newer, and matching Fabric API 0.92.2+1.20.1 or newer. Install on both the server and every player's client.

Changes

• Adds hinged toilet lids, persistent grime and visible sanitation feedback.
• Adds a 128-use cleaning brush, 16-use paper roll and reusable 64-unit collection bag, with recipes and original item sprites.
• Paper is spent only after successful solid toilet use. Cleaning preserves stored contents; partial transfers keep any remainder safely in its source.
• Adds the seventh illustrated guide chapter and updates lid, cleaning and offhand controls.
• Includes the complete thirst, digestion, diarrhea, water-purification, outdoor-waste, toilet and compost-to-crop loop, with rebindable controls and English/Simplified Chinese text.
• Fixes lid-closing hit detection using a reachable in-block click area, verified with real raycasts and graphical-client mouse interaction.
• Independent Minecraft 1.20.1 port with version-specific networking, NBT, resource layouts and client APIs. This is not the 1.21.1 JAR relabeled.

Verification and cautions

24 unit tests and 55 real Minecraft GameTests passed for this build. The remapped release JAR was checked in a graphical client and a dedicated server, including saving and reopening worlds. These checks do not guarantee long-running multiplayer or all modpacks and protection plugins.

Back up your world and configuration. Replace the old mod JAR rather than keeping both. Old 2.0 toilet storage is retained; old toilets begin with no grime. Existing configuration values are preserved. Do not downgrade a Minecraft 1.21.1 world to 1.20.1.
