What's new
Flux Foundry 0.3.0-beta.1 — Industrial Evolution
Flux Foundry expands with machine upgrades and wind power, giving players new ways to improve existing equipment and generate FE through smart generator placement.
Added
-
Wind Generator
-
Generates FE based on its environment
-
Higher elevations provide stronger generation
-
Open, unobstructed placement improves output
-
Environmental conditions are cached for lightweight operation
-
Compatible with Flux Foundry Energy Cables and standard NeoForge FE equipment
-
Does not force-load surrounding chunks
-
-
Speed Upgrade
-
Increases processing speed for:
-
Crusher
-
Powered Furnace
-
Alloy Smelter
-
-
Faster operation comes with increased instantaneous FE demand
-
Stackable with defined limits
-
-
Efficiency Upgrade
-
Reduces the total FE required for processing
-
Does not increase processing speed
-
Can be combined with Speed Upgrades
-
-
Capacity Upgrade
-
Increases internal FE storage of processing machines
-
Allows upgraded machines to maintain larger energy reserves
-
Safe removal rules prevent stored FE from being accidentally destroyed
-
-
Machine Upgrade Slots
-
Crusher, Powered Furnace, and Alloy Smelter now support dedicated upgrade slots
-
Upgrade inventories persist across saves and server restarts
-
Installed upgrades are returned when machines are broken
-
Invalid items cannot be placed into upgrade slots
-
Changed
-
Processing-machine GUIs now display and manage installed upgrades.
-
Machine performance is calculated dynamically from installed upgrades rather than requiring separate machine tiers.
-
Existing recipes remain the base processing definition, allowing upgrades to work automatically with datapack recipes.
-
Wind generation uses cached environmental sampling rather than continuously scanning surrounding blocks.
Performance
-
Wind environmental conditions recalculate on a 200-tick cadence.
-
Stable single-generator testing produced exactly 6 environmental scans per 1,200 ticks.
-
A 16-generator test produced exactly 96 scans per 1,200 ticks.
-
Wind testing produced zero unintended chunk loads or chunk tickets.
-
Existing Energy Cable performance behavior remains preserved.
Compatibility
-
Existing 0.2.0-beta.1 worlds can be upgraded to 0.3.0-beta.1.
-
Existing generators, processing machines, Energy Cells, cables, inventories, FE, fluids, recipes, and orientations remain supported.
-
Standard NeoForge FE interoperability remains intact.
-
Existing optional JEI support remains available but is not required.
Validation
-
52/52 tests passed, including all 33 previous Flux Foundry tests.
-
Packaged graphical client validation passed.
-
Dedicated-server validation passed.
-
Third-party FE interoperability passed.
-
Fresh-process persistence passed.
-
Chunk-safety validation passed.
-
No unresolved S1 or S2 issues remain.
Known Beta Limitations
-
Functional Beta artwork
-
English localization only
-
No machine tiers; upgrades improve existing machines instead
-
No item or fluid pipe networks yet
-
No offline generation or chunk loading
-
Wind visuals remain focused on functionality rather than advanced animation
-
Steam, turbines, and advanced industrial power systems are planned for future development
Requires Minecraft 26.3, NeoForge, and Java 25.
