FFExhaustion
Sprint, fight, and jump all you like… just don't expect to keep it up forever! FFExhaustion adds a fatigue meter that fills as you push yourself and drains while you catch your breath.

How it works
Hard physical work tires you out:
- Sprinting and fast swimming
- Jumping, especially sprint-jumping
- Landing after a long fall
- Swinging your weapon (hits and misses both count)
- Holding up your shield
Take it easy for a moment and you'll start to recover. Standing still or sneaking speeds that up.
As you get tired, you'll notice it: you move more slowly, sprint-jumps don't carry you as far, and your attacks come out more slowly. A HUD icon shows how worn out you are at a glance.
Configuration
Want it gentler or harsher? You can adjust:
- How tiring each activity is, and how quickly you recover
- How much exhaustion slows you down, plus optional extra penalties like potion effects
- Whether exhaustion carries over when you die
- Where the HUD icon sits and how it looks
Mod compatibility
FFExhaustion works with these mods when they're installed. None of them are required.
- Better Combat: combo swings and misses are counted properly
- VC Gliders: gliding tires you out, and you'll drop if you get too tired
- FFItemWeight: carrying a heavy load tires you out faster
Version differences
- Fabric: tiredness doesn't slow your swimming as much, because Fabric has no separate swim speed stat.
For datapack makers
FFExhaustion doesn't use datapacks. Everything is adjusted through the config.
For mod developers
FFExhaustion has an API for reading and changing a player's exhaustion and reacting when it changes. Click the Wiki link in the sidebar for docs and examples.
What's with the FF prefix?
It stands for Fyxe's Features! It's a clean way to easily find all of my mods when changing configs or creating packs. Mods that are a part of the "FF" system are usually smaller and unintrusive.
