🌳 Far Flung Real Trees

An add-on for Far Flung Forests that makes Minecraft's trees look real.

Tired of square trunks and odd logs sticking out of trees like Lego bricks? Far Flung Real Trees reshapes every tree as the world generates. Trunks become round, side logs become proper thin branches, and twigs reach up through the leaves. Everything still feels like Minecraft, just a lot more natural.

Chop a tree down and you get normal logs back, so survival, crafting and building work exactly as before.

✨ Features

🪵 Round, tapering trunks

• Trunks are round instead of square.
• They taper as they grow: full width near the ground, slimmer halfway up, slim near the crown.
• The bottom of each trunk has a flared foot with little roots spreading over the grass.

🌲 Big trees done properly

• Wide trunks (dark oak, giant spruce, giant jungle) get rounded outer corners, so they look like one fat trunk instead of four poles.
• The ground under big trees blends in with the grass, podzol and other ground around them.

🌿 Real branches

• The blocky side logs on big oaks, acacias, jungle trees, dark oaks, cherries and Far Flung Forests trees become thin branches that join up properly, with no floating bits.
• Extra twigs sprout from the upper trunk, out and up through the canopy, with a little tuft of leaves on the tip.

🍄 The Nether too

• Crimson and warped stem get the same treatment: round tapering stems, flared feet, and twigs reaching through the wart-block caps.
• The nylium and netherrack underneath are left untouched.

🍂 A more lived-in forest floor

• Old cut stumps with growth rings appear now and then near bigger trees.
• Fallen logs are round, with a moss coat that wraps over the top.

🏡 Builds are safe

• Logs in village houses, woodland mansions and other buildings are never touched, even when a tree grows right up against them.

🌍 Works with

• All vanilla overworld trees: oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove and cherry.
• All 22 Far Flung Forests trees.
• Must Have Taller Trees (optional): its woodpecker-hole logs become round too, and woodpeckers still come out of them.

Trees grown from saplings and bone meal are reshaped as well.
