🪵 Far Flung Woodworking Add-on

Turn the rare woods of Far Flung Forests into furniture, storage and timber framing!

⚠️ This is an add-on. It needs Far Flung Forests (version 0.7.0 or newer) installed to work. It won't load without it. Every block in this mod is made from Far Flung Forests woods.

You've found Purpleheart, Bloodwood, Zebrawood and Kauri growing in faraway forests. Now you can build with them! Far Flung Woodworking adds 18 handmade wooden blocks in every one of the 22 Far Flung Forests woods. That's 396 new blocks for cosy cabins, market stalls, farmhouses, libraries and timber-framed builds.

🪑 Furniture

• Chair: a tall, 2-block-high chair with a proper high back. Right-click to sit down.
• Table: tables join up when you place them side by side. Legs only grow at the outside corners, so you can build one long banquet table or a big square one.
• Picnic Bench: a 2×2 bench with a table down the middle and a seat on each long side. Sit wherever you click, on either side. It's perfect for parks, gardens and village squares.
• Display Shelf: a wall shelf that shows up to 3 items. Right-click with an item to put it on the shelf, or with an empty hand to take it back. Use it to show off trophies, potions or anything you like.

Tip: sneak and right-click to place blocks on chairs and benches instead of sitting.

🐦 Bird Table

Put out a Bird Table and stock it by right-clicking with wheat seeds. If you also have Must Have Taller Trees installed, its songbirds and woodpeckers will fly down, land on the tray, peck at the seed and then fly off. Birds are shy, so stand back if you want them to come. Right-click with an empty hand to take the seed back.

(Must Have Taller Trees is optional. Without it, the bird table is still a lovely garden decoration.)

📦 Storage

• Chest and Trapped Chest: a chest in every wood. Two chests of the same wood make a double chest, and trapped chests give off a redstone signal like vanilla ones.
• Crate: a sturdy 27-slot crate that keeps its contents when you break it, just like a shulker box. Pack it up and take it with you! It keeps its custom name too.
• Barrel: opens and closes just like the vanilla barrel.

📚 Workstations Villagers Can Use

• Lectern: holds a book and quill or a written book, and works as a Librarian job site.
• Composter: works just like the vanilla one and counts as a Farmer job site.

🏗️ Timber Framing

• Beam, Thin Beam and Post: three sizes of timber that rotate on all three axes, like logs. Use them for framing, rafters, fences and supports.
• Gallows Bracket, Brace and Corbel: decorative supports for shop signs, roof eaves and overhangs. Click the upper half of a block face to place one the normal way up, or the lower half to place it upside down.
• Ladder: climbable ladders in every wood.

🔨 Crafting

Everything is made in an ordinary crafting table from Far Flung Forests planks and slabs plus sticks.
