Extra More Iron Ladders

The ladder scene in modded Minecraft is fragmented: one mod does fast climbing, another does extend-down, another adds a few material variants. Extra More Iron Ladders rolls every good ladder idea into one mod with one craft tree and one creative tab.

What it adds

• Many material ladders – iron, gold, copper, diamond, netherite, emerald, glowstone, redstone, lapis and coal, each with its own look and feel.
• Faster climbing, per material – gold is the express lane; every ladder has its own climb speed. Smooth, client-authoritative movement, no mixins.
• Extend-down – right-click at the bottom of a shaft to drop another rung into the air below, so you can build ladders downward without scaffolding.
• Glowing shafts – glowstone ladders light the whole climb; redstone glows faintly.

Every ladder behaves like a proper vanilla ladder – faces a wall, water-logs, climbable – just harder (pickaxe-mined) and far more capable.

How to craft

Turn 2 of a material into 4 sticks, then 7 sticks in an H-shape into 3 ladders. Every material follows the same recipe.

Compatibility

Runs on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, Minecraft 1.20.1 through 26.2 (42 builds). Fully compatible with vanilla ladders.
