Description
Want a world where winter never ends? With this mod it snows in every biome. Deserts, jungles, savannas and plains get snowfall instead of rain or clear skies, ponds freeze over, and snow builds up on the ground while it's coming down. Rivers and oceans are left alone by default, so you can still get around by boat.
Unofficial port of Eternal Winter by ichttt, for NeoForge and Fabric on 1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.2 and 26.3. Please report bugs here.

Config
The config is config/eternalwinter.json:
{
"listMode": "BLACKLIST",
"biomeList": ["river", "ocean", "deep_ocean", "warm_ocean", "lukewarm_ocean", "cold_ocean", "deep_warm_ocean", "deep_lukewarm_ocean", "deep_cold_ocean", "deep_frozen_ocean"],
"downfall": -1
}
- With
listModeset toBLACKLIST, every biome except the ones inbiomeListturns wintry. WithWHITELIST, only the listed ones do. biomeListtakes biome ids with or without the namespace, so"river"matchesminecraft:river, and"somemod:frozen_peaks"matches only that biome. Modded biomes work too.downfallfrom 0 to 1 sets how wet every changed biome is (it also tints grass and leaves). -1 keeps each biome's own.- Changes take effect after a restart.
FAQ
Client or server? Only the server needs it (or your game, in singleplayer). Players can join without it and still see the snow falling. We test exactly that on both NeoForge and Fabric: a dedicated server with the mod, joined by a client without it.
Does it need anything else? Fabric API on Fabric. Nothing on NeoForge.
Can I use it in my modpack? Yes, go ahead, no need to ask.
