About Enchantment Mastery

Ever spent hours getting the perfect enchantments, only to eventually replace your equipment and start all over again?

Enchantment Mastery (REVITALIZED) gives your enchanted equipment something it never really had before: actual progression.

Instead of enchantments staying at the same level forever, they can now gain experience and grow stronger as you use them.

Your sword improves through combat. Your pickaxe gets better as you mine. Your armor grows stronger as it protects you.

And the best part? You don't have to completely change the way you play Minecraft to make progress.

Just play the game, and your enchantments will grow with you.

Enchantment Levelling

Every enchantment has its own experience and levelling progression.

Rather than simply giving experience to everything you're carrying, enchantments are rewarded for being used in ways that actually make sense.

• Sharpness & Looting - Gain experience by defeating mobs.
• Efficiency & Fortune - Improve through mining blocks.
• Feather Falling - Gains experience from taking fall damage.
• Protection - Levels up as you take damage.
• Specialized Protection - Gains experience from the damage types it's designed to protect against.
• Other Enchantments - Enchantments without a suitable action-based method gain experience from collected XP orbs.

This means that two identical enchanted items can develop differently depending on how you use them.

A sword you've fought hundreds of mobs with will have a different history from one you've only just enchanted.

Learning Enchantments

Enchanted books now have another purpose beyond applying enchantments to your equipment.

They can also teach you enchantments as part of the progression system.

Once learned, enchantments can become stronger through relevant gameplay activities.

It's a small addition that gives enchanted books a little more importance throughout your playthrough.

Detailed Enchantment Tooltips

Levelling enchantments is nice, but knowing how far you've progressed is even better.

While hovering over an enchanted item, simply hold Shift to reveal additional information about its enchantments.

• Current Experience - See how much progress each enchantment has made.
• Experience Requirements - Find out how much XP is needed for the next level.
• Levelling Methods - See exactly what actions contribute experience to each enchantment.

No guessing, no complicated menus. All the information is right there when you need it.

Equipment That Actually Matters

One of the things I wanted this mod to change is how disposable enchanted equipment can feel.

In vanilla Minecraft, once you've got your desired enchantments, that's pretty much it. Your equipment doesn't really develop any further.

With Enchantment Mastery, there's always something to work towards.

The pickaxe you've been using since the beginning of your world can continue improving. The sword you've taken into countless fights can become stronger through those fights.

It makes keeping and using your favorite equipment a little more rewarding.

Made to Fit Into Minecraft

Even though Enchantment Mastery changes how enchantments progress, the goal isn't to make Minecraft unnecessarily complicated.

You're still mining, fighting, exploring, and using the enchantments you already know.

The difference is that those activities now contribute to something beyond your regular experience levels.

Whether you're starting a new survival world or playing through a modpack, the system is designed to add a little more depth to enchanting without getting in the way of normal gameplay.

Compatibility & Versions

Enchantment Mastery (REVITALIZED) is being developed and ported across Forge, NeoForge, and Fabric.
