enableragdolls-3.0.0.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Enable ragdolls 3.0.0
Death is now fully physical.
Skeletal ragdoll
- Every bone of a dying mob or player becomes its own rigid body, detected automatically from the model.
- Bones are held together by joints with angle limits and damping, so limbs flop freely but never come apart.
- Every cube of every body part collides with the world. Slabs, stairs and other non-full blocks are supported (stairs count as full blocks).
- Realistic contact: friction, bounce on impact and buoyancy in water.
- Body parts collide with each other.
- Original death animations are fully replaced by the ragdoll.
First-person death
- When you die, the camera stays in first person and rides your falling head, tumbling with real gravity.
- Your head is hidden so it never blocks the view.
- The respawn screen appears once your body lands, and your items and experience drop a moment after you die.
Mobs
- Bodies stay on the ground for 5 seconds, then vanish in a puff of smoke.
- Drops and experience appear when the body disappears.
Performance
- Client-side simulation with distance and view culling.
- Fewer simulation steps for distant bodies.
- Bodies go to sleep as soon as they settle.
- Limit of 24 simultaneous ragdolls.
- Safety checks against unstable physics.
Other
- New mod icon (replace logo.png to customize).
- Improved build script: the jar is generated into the JAR_PRONTO folder.
Requires Minecraft 1.20.1 and Forge 47.3.0+. Install on both client and server.
