DYNAMIC WATERS 9.0

Because version 8.0.0 was heavily bugged and caused major issues in some modpacks and worlds, this update focuses mainly on stability fixes, compatibility, and the most important improvements needed to make the mod properly usable again

Your modpacks should now work properly again!!!

IMPORTANT After updating to a new version, always create a new world. Existing worlds may not properly update world generation changes and can cause unexpected behavior

GENERATION

+Full Tectonic compatibility

++Rivers now better adapt to terrain, creating more natural tunnels, canyons, valleys, and lowlands

Mountain rivers are now slightly more natural, smoother, and better integrated into terrain

FIXES

Squids no longer move backwards or glitch in rivers/water

Now structures dont spawn any more in rivers

Bubble particles are now no longer visible through walls when using XP bottles

FEATURES

Added ambient river sound effect (can be disabled in config)

REMOVED FROM 8.0.0

Removed automatic river biome assignment system (this was causing major issues)

This update took a long time to develop, so I’d really appreciate any reviews or feedback on it...

PREVIOUS UPDATE (recap)

In the previous update I added Tectonic compatibility, and now it has been further improved and better integrated with the river generation system. Mountain rivers can now generate longer and more naturally, blending more smoothly with terrain, and rivers no longer use the minecraft biome system as this has been removed.

Several important fixes were also introduced to improve stability. Structure protection was improved so rivers should no longer cut through structures in affected chunks. Sync issues between server and client were fixed to ensure better world consistency. I also fixed unnatural “wall-like” starts in mountain rivers.

On the configuration side, a biome blacklist was added to allow excluding specific biomes from river generation. Flow control compatibility was also improved so entities set to 0.0 are no longer pushed or affected by water flow.
