Corpsebound — Alpha 0.1.0

The first public alpha release of Corpsebound.

Highlights

  • Added physics-driven corpses for players and most living mobs.
  • Added independently simulated heads, torsos, arms, and legs with solid one-piece limbs.
  • Added varied death reactions based on impact direction, momentum, and randomized limb movement.
  • Added world collision, body self-collision, sleeping physics, and distance-based performance optimization.
  • Added server-authoritative corpse physics and multiplayer synchronization.
  • Added lootable corpse containers with automatically adjusting inventory size.
  • Added visible corpse equipment that updates when armor is removed.
  • Mob-held weapons drop onto the ground instead of being duplicated inside the corpse.
  • Player corpses persist permanently, including after being emptied or after restarting the world.
  • Mob corpses remain while players are nearby and use configurable cleanup after the area is abandoned.
  • Added broad best-effort support for modded creatures, armor, textures, baby proportions, and individual entity scaling.
  • Added compatible model capture paths for Forge models, EMF/ETF, GeckoLib 4, and AzureLib 3.
  • Added optional Iron & Blood wound-skin and lethal-headshot integration.
  • Iron & Blood lethal headshots have a configurable 30% default chance to detach the corpse’s head.
  • Detached player heads can be collected by right-clicking them.
  • Added Worthy Adversaries entity-size compatibility.
  • Slimes and Magma Cubes are intentionally excluded from corpse generation.

Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.20.1
  • Forge 47.4.20
  • Java 17
  • Must be installed on both the client and server for multiplayer
