Corpsebound Alpha-0.1.1
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Corpsebound alpha-0.1.1
Compared with alpha-0.1.0, this update greatly expands corpse interaction, inventory management, burial, and optional mod compatibility.
Added
- Added server-authoritative corpse carrying.
- With both hands empty, use Ctrl + Right Click to pick up a corpse. While carrying, use Right Click to put it down.
- Added synchronized two-handed carry poses for first person, third person, and other players.
- Added dedicated carry compatibility for Epic Fight and FirstPerson Model.
- Added corpse burial on shovel-mineable blocks.
- Each shovel action lowers the corpse by 0.2 blocks, uses the correct block particles and sound, and has a 0.8-second cooldown.
- Fully buried corpses immediately stop rendering and simulating.
- After 60 minutes by default, buried corpses become lightweight grave records while preserving their loot. Grave remains may include bones, bone meal, and a skeleton skull.
- Added a dedicated corpse inventory with separate general-loot, armor, main-hand, off-hand, and Curios sections.
- Added built-in optional Curios 5.x compatibility.
- Added Epic Fight death takeover, allowing Corpsebound’s ragdoll physics to replace Epic Fight’s visible death animations.
Changed
- Carrying now reduces movement speed to 36% of normal speed, and sprinting is disabled.
- Carried corpses remain centered between the player’s raised hands.
- The server now searches for a safe whole-body position when placing a corpse down.
- General loot is randomized only once when death drops are finalized.
- Empty inventory spaces are mixed between items instead of always appearing at the end.
- Adding items, removing items, reopening the corpse, or restarting the world no longer rearranges existing loot.
- Corpse storage dynamically displays between one and six general-loot rows.
- Removing armor or held equipment immediately updates the corpse’s visible appearance.
- Fully buried bodies retain surface lighting while sinking, preventing the corpse and equipment from turning black.
Fixed
- Fixed corpses sometimes being impossible to pick up again after being placed down once.
- Fixed carried bodies being blocked, separated, or trapped by nearby blocks.
- Fixed duplicate first-person arms when carrying with FirstPerson Model or Epic Fight.
- Fixed the carrying pose disappearing while looking directly upward or downward.
- Fixed block, entity, item, attack, and pick-block interactions leaking through while carrying.
- Fixed corpse inventories being reshuffled whenever their contents changed.
- Fixed equipment ownership and duplication conflicts when other mods rewrite or cancel death-drop events.
- Fixed Curios items being captured before Curios completed its final keep, destroy, Soulbound, or Vanishing Curse rules.
- Fixed incorrect armor-slot item types and stack sizes.
- Fixed a corpse’s own player head appearing inside its inventory. Detached player heads remain obtainable only by interacting with the severed head itself.
Important upgrade notes
- The multiplayer protocol changed from 13 to 17. Servers and every connecting client must use alpha-0.1.1.
- Existing server configuration files retain their saved values. Set
corpseCarrying.movementSpeedMultiplier = 0.36to use the new carrying-speed default in existing worlds. - Curios and Epic Fight remain optional dependencies.
- Corpse Curios Compat is no longer required because Corpsebound includes its own Curios integration.
- Collectible detached player heads must be picked up before their corpse can be buried.
- Do not enable another corpse or gravestone mod that captures the same death drops unless explicit compatibility is provided.
