Continued Smarter Zombies

Take your survival skills to the next level with this mod! This update enhances zombie AI, making them more alert, aggressive, and unpredictable.

This mod is a patched version of the Smarter Zombies mod made by user_mp68g6o3u2yd10mx

Key Features:

🩸 Scent of Blood – Injured? Zombies will sense your weakness and approach quickly. If you're injured or low on health, they'll come for you.

🧠 Horde Mentality – A zombie spotting you is bad, but now they're calling for reinforcements to attack you.

⛏️ Sound Triggers – Mining or breaking blocks? Any zombie will hear the noise and come straight for you.

💡 Light Attraction – Zombies aren't just wandering aimlessly—they're attracted to light sources, making the

night even more deadly. They follow each other and will patrol light sources if there are more than one.

☀️ They avoid sunlight and hide in the shadows. Beware of the dark, they'll be waiting for you.

🕯️ Torch in hand? is condemning your stealth, at first this mod is recommended to use with dynamic lights, because the zombies will spot you if you are holding a torch.

Now 02/09/25:

1. Zombies will now chase players holding a torch. I added this because of the dynamic lighting feature added by Optifine, Oculus, and other mods. Why do zombies see a torch on the ground but not a lit torch in my hand? Now they're watching you too 🫣

2. Improved nighttime behavior. Zombies no longer just follow the light and stay put. Once they reach it, they'll look for a new light source, making this behavior more dynamic and intelligent. BE CAREFUL! Did you make a torch trail to avoid getting lost? They'll follow you.

3. Improved behavior when following injured players. They'll now also detect if you're injured (by smelling blood) and will even come to you. Use the health option to enable this in the settings.

4. Zombies, like skeletons, will no longer come out during the day to burn themselves. They'll now wait patiently in the shadows until you're in the shadows too.

What's different about the mod made by the original creator?
When you try to start the game, you encounter an error while loading mods, as shown in the image below, so you simply won't be able to use the mod. 😢
