Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
1.0.0-alpha.2 — A cleaner config list
Second alpha. Mostly about the thing alpha.1 got wrong: in a big modpack, the config list could be dominated by files left over from mods you no longer have installed.
A cleaner list
- Configs belonging to mods you don't have installed are now hidden instead of piled into Uncategorized. In a real 114-mod pack this turned a 75-file Uncategorized group into a single line.
- The hidden count is shown on the Uncategorized row, so nothing disappears silently.
- Uncategorized is now pinned to the bottom of the list and dimmed, and Vanilla / Uncategorized show proper labels instead of raw ids.
Better grouping
- Built-in mappings for ~70 common mods now resolve config files whose
names don't match their mod id — e.g.
yacl.json5→ Yet Another Config Lib,etf_warnings.json→ Entity Texture Features. - Files with a second extension (
ferritecore.mixin.properties) are now grouped correctly.
Reporting problems is easier now
- Log lines are prefixed with
[ConfigSwitch], so they can be picked out oflatest.log— which otherwise has no per-mod names in it. - Startup logs the ConfigSwitch / Minecraft / Fabric Loader versions.
- A detailed log can be turned on with
-Dconfigswitch.debug=true; it writes only ConfigSwitch's own log tologs/configswitch-debug.log. See the issue template for how and when to use it.
Fixes
- Settings → Reset no longer writes to disk immediately. It resets the fields only, and you still have to press Save — consistent with every other change on that screen.
Mod Menu
- ConfigSwitch now appears in Mod Menu with a config button, if you have it installed.
