Camper's Cache

Camper’s Cache adds wilderness camps, guarded supply houses, and hidden storehouses filled with valuable loot. Take a Camper’s supplies at your own risk—they’ll want an emerald apology and everything you stole returned.

🏕️ Camper's Cache

Explore the wilderness. Discover hidden supplies. Take what you need—but be prepared to pay for it.

Camper's Cache is a Minecraft exploration and loot mod created by MadReaper16, introducing wilderness camps, guarded supply houses, hidden underground storehouses, and a unique Camper NPC who doesn't take kindly to thieves.

Whether you're searching for valuable equipment, uncovering hidden caches, or risking a confrontation with an angry Camper, every discovery offers a new opportunity—and a potential consequence.

🌲 Explore, Discover & Loot

🏕️ Wilderness Camps

Discover camps scattered throughout the Minecraft world, each with a Camper watching over their supplies.

Every camp connects to two additional locations in opposite directions:

  • Supply House: A nearby destination containing useful resources, equipment, and valuable loot.
  • Underground Storehouse: A hidden storage facility containing greater rewards for those willing to explore.

By default, each destination generates approximately 944 blocks from its associated camp.

Structures use terrain validation to ensure underground storehouses and their entrances remain appropriately buried.

📦 Supply Houses

Supply houses offer a variety of useful survival resources, including:

  • Building and crafting materials
  • Food and survival supplies
  • Enchanted books
  • 1–2 pieces of diamond equipment

💎 Underground Storehouses

For adventurers seeking greater rewards, underground storehouses offer higher-value loot, including:

  • Additional survival supplies
  • Stronger equipment and gear
  • A chance to discover netherite scrap
  • An exceptionally rare God Armor chestplate, with a 1.5% chance of appearing

⚔️ Stealing Has Consequences

The Camper isn't just decoration. They actively protect their belongings and remember who crosses them.

Open a protected camp chest, and the Camper becomes hostile toward you.

This hostility is tracked individually, meaning one player's actions won't automatically turn the Camper against everyone else.

💚 Make Peace

Offering an emerald stops the Camper's attacks.

However, stopping the aggression doesn't erase your debt.

📜 Return What You Stole

If you've taken items from the Camper's chest, you'll need to return them.

  • Return the same item types and quantities that were stolen.
  • Check the nearby sign to see what items are still owed.
  • Returned items are consumed when the debt is settled.
  • Killing the Camper won't allow you to recover surrendered items.

You can steal the supplies. Just don't expect the Camper to forget.

⚙️ Extensive Configuration

Camper's Cache includes an in-game configuration menu through Mod Menu.

Access it through:

Clone the repository and run:

gradle build

This runs the included game tests and generates the compiled mod JAR inside build/libs.

To prepare a release build:

gradle build prepareRelease

The upload-ready JAR will be copied into the release directory.

All required structure templates are included in the repository. The original structure design world is not needed to compile the mod.
