Create limited worlds while controlling which biomes/structures are inside and more. Terraria inspired.
Turn the infinite world into a finite, complete and controlled one.
Heavily inspired by the world system of Terraria :
You can restrict the size of your world (through world borders) while making sure specific biomes and/or specific structures are indeed generated in your restricted world. Perfect for modpacks with progression, servers with limited map sizes, or anyone tired of flying 10,000 blocks to find a jungle.
Multiple more in depth features are also available, you can chose so that Hot Biomes will always spawn North for example, as you can guess, inspired by the Jungle/Dungeon generation of Terraria.
Still WIP, looking for feedback/bugs/issues.
Features
World Radius : A world border is placed around spawn with a configurable radius (default 3000 blocks).
Guaranteed biomes : List the biomes (or biome tags like #forge:is_hot) that must exist within the border. On world creation, the mod scans the area; anything missing is generated as a natural-looking zone (decent result for now, but can still be improved).
Guaranteed structures : Same for structures: if a stronghold, monument or any listed structure wouldn't generate within the border, the mod places it in a valid biome.
Natural integration : Forced biomes are placed where the existing climate and terrain already fit the biome (oceans land on water, peaks on mountains), and biome edges blend through legitimate vanilla transitions instead of hard borders.
Terraria-style layout: hot biomes toward one direction, cold toward the opposite, humid/dry on the perpendicular axis. Direction can be fixed or seed-random.
Compatible with TerraBlender.
Everything is configured in bounded_worlds-common.toml (radius, required biomes/structures, zone sizes, directional axes).
