โ BondCraft Fabric v1.8.0 Update
BondCraft continues to expand on Fabric 1.20.1.
This update introduces BondCraft's first Main Quest chapter, a dedicated Battlefield system, four new support items, three new desert monsters, new combat mechanics, the Party Status Panel, Target Info improvements, and numerous fixes and improvements across existing systems.
โจ Main Additions
Main Quest: Plains Chapter
BondCraft's first Main Quest chapter is now available.
The Plains Chapter introduces a structured progression that begins with learning about contracts and forming your first party before expanding into the mysteries surrounding the world of BondCraft.
Throughout the chapter, players will:
-
Learn about the Bond system
-
Form and fight alongside an Active Party
-
Search for Portal Residues
-
Investigate unusual events around the Plains
-
Speak with residents of the Starting Village
-
Witness a mysterious portal event
-
Investigate traces connected to the disturbance
-
Unlock access to a dedicated Battlefield
-
Face the chapter's major encounter
-
Return to Eil to complete the Plains Chapter
The Main Quest is designed to introduce BondCraft's major systems naturally while beginning the larger story surrounding the mysterious portals.
Journal System
The new Journal can be opened with the J key.
The Journal allows players to view their current quest progression and provides the foundation for future Main Quests and Subquests.
Main Quest progression can also be enabled or disabled.
Disabling Main Quest progression preserves existing progress while preventing further Main Quest progression until it is enabled again.
โ Dedicated Battlefield System
A new dedicated Battlefield system has been introduced for major encounters.
Certain large monsters can now be encountered through dedicated Battlefield challenges in addition to their normal Wild encounter routes where applicable.
Battlefields provide isolated arenas designed specifically for these encounters.
Battlefield Features
-
Dedicated Battlefield dimension
-
Separate arena allocation for players and challenges
-
Active Party transfer into and out of the Battlefield
-
Dedicated Boss encounter handling
-
Safe return after completing or leaving a challenge
-
Inventory, Armor, Offhand items, and XP are preserved on Battlefield death
-
Players may retreat from a challenge
-
A challenge does not automatically fail when all Bond allies are Down
-
Dedicated Bosses can be defeated or contracted where supported
Contracting a dedicated Boss through the normal Bond system can also successfully complete its Battlefield challenge.
Battlefield Party Handling
The Active Party used when beginning a Battlefield challenge is now fixed for the duration of that challenge.
Manual party composition changes are restricted while a challenge is active.
This prevents Reserve monsters from being manually inserted into a Battlefield party after the encounter has already begun.
Normal successful contracts remain compatible with the existing Bond system.
Battlefield Protection & Cleanup
Battlefield arenas now include additional protection and cleanup handling.
Improvements include:
-
Protection against normal block breaking and placement
-
Protection against fluid and fire modification
-
Explosion terrain protection
-
Arena cleanup when beginning and ending challenges
-
Cleanup of dropped items and experience orbs
-
Challenge-specific Boss and summon validation
-
Improved cleanup after retreat, completion, logout, and reconnect
-
Improved handling of orphaned challenge entities
These systems are designed to keep Battlefield arenas isolated and reusable between encounters.
๐งด New Support Items
Four new support items have been added.
Heal Spray
A single-target healing item for owned Bond mobs.
-
Restores 25% HP
-
Cannot be used on Down mobs
-

Heal Mist

Cleanse Spray

-
Removes applicable harmful debuffs
-
Does not remove BondCraft mechanics that are not MobEffects
-
Reusable with limited durability
Recovery Kit
A dedicated recovery item for Down Bond mobs.
-
Can only be used on owned Down Bond mobs
-
Revives the target with 25% HP
These items are now available through Nyan's Shop.
๐ Nyan's Shop Expansion
Nyan's Shop has been expanded with the new support items.
The shop now includes:
-
Heal Spray
-
Heal Mist
-
Cleanse Spray
-
Recovery Kit
These items provide additional options for maintaining and recovering Bond mobs during longer adventures and difficult encounters.
๐พ 3 New Monsters
Three new monsters have been added to the desert:
-
Gravebearer: Mourn
-
Crowness
-
Vorak
Each monster introduces different combat mechanics, passive abilities, and roles within a Bond team.
โฐ Gravebearer: Mourn
Gravebearer: Mourn is a new Undead TANK monster that appears in the desert at night.
Mourn is a durable mid-boss capable of both melee and ranged combat.
Oath of Mourning
When bonded, Mourn can strengthen its defenses when a fallen allied Bond mob is nearby while Mourn is engaged in combat.
This allows Mourn to become more resilient when the rest of the party is under pressure.
Combat Traits
-
High durability
-
Strong knockback resistance
-
Melee attacks can inflict Weakness
-
Uses both melee and ranged attacks
-
Can strengthen its DEF through Oath of Mourning
๐ Crowness
Crowness is a new Spirit SUPPORT monster found in the desert during the day.
Despite visually floating above the ground, Crowness uses normal ground-based movement.
Spirit Gathering
When bonded, Crowness can gradually draw nearby dropped items toward itself.
This provides a unique utility function while exploring and fighting alongside Crowness.
Combat Traits
-
Wild Crowness does not actively attack players unless provoked
-
Uses ranged attacks
-
Attacks can inflict Glowing
-
Provides utility through Spirit Gathering
๐ Vorak
Vorak is a new Devil DEBUFF monster that appears in the desert at night.
Vorak is also the first planned monster belonging to BondCraft's original Sin series.
The Sin series represents monsters associated with BondCraft-original sins and is not based directly on the traditional Seven Deadly Sins.
Vorak embodies Craving.
Craving
Vorak's melee attacks can inflict the new Craving effect.
Craving reduces healing received by the affected target.
Vorak itself is immune to Craving.
Insatiable Thirst
When bonded, Vorak temporarily increases its movement speed after defeating an enemy.
Repeated activations refresh the effect rather than stacking it.
๐ New Status Effect: Craving
A new harmful status effect has been introduced.
Craving
Targets affected by Craving receive reduced healing.
This introduces a new form of combat pressure that interferes with recovery rather than directly increasing incoming damage.
๐ฅ Party Status Panel
A new Party Status Panel has been added to the Inventory screen.
The panel can be expanded from the left side of the Inventory and provides quick access to information about the player's Active Party.
Displayed information includes:
-
Party Slot
-
Monster Name
-
Level
-
Role
-
HP
-
ATK
-
DEF
-
Movement Speed
-
Knockback Resistance
The panel also reflects temporary attribute changes.
When an effective attribute is higher or lower than its normal base value, an arrow indicates the change while displaying the current effective value.
The Party Status Panel is read-only and does not replace the Bond Manager.
๐ฏ Target Info Improvements
Target Info has been simplified and improved.
The display now focuses on essential combat information:
-
Target Name
-
Current HP / Maximum HP
-
Sacred Mark stacks when applicable
Standard MobEffects such as Poison, Weakness, Corruption, and Craving are no longer duplicated inside Target Info and continue to use their normal effect displays where appropriate.
This keeps Target Info focused and reduces unnecessary UI clutter.
