Alpha test build release 0.4 for the upcoming 0.4 version/1.19 port
REQUIRES TERRABLENDER 1.19.2
Changelog:
*Fixed significant performance issues present in the previous builds; this was because my xySpread/ySpread were above 16 and causing setblock in chunks outside of their 16x256x16 boundary
*Tumbleweed drop tables have been fixed
*Full moons now tint the screen blue; I also fixed Charlie attacking on full moons
*A new stat: sanity, a representation of the player's "mental health" visualized by a row of brain icons. Exposure to pure darkness, the night, rain, poison or certain hostile mobs (ghosts, night hands, hostile crawling horrors/terrorbeaks, spiders and cave spiders via a negative sanity aura) will drain sanity. Low sanity not only causes screen wobble, fog and brightened gamma but low enough sanity will cause hallucinatory shadow creatures to start appearing
*Sanity can be managed by sleeping via a straw roll, eating crock pot dishes or jerky as well as some more minor sources such as melon slices or killing hostile shadow creatures
*Except Wet Goop (sanity loss instead), all Crock Pot dishes restore some sanity while certain ones such as Ice Cream, Melonsicles, Taffy, Pumpkin Cookies, Fancy Spiralled Tubers, California Rolls restore 2-6 Sanity depending on the dish
*Visual sanity effects can be disabled/enabled in the config
*With the replace vanilla drops config, all flowers now drop petals, which can be consumed to restore half a heart but...
*New item: Garland, crafted with nine flower petals; a worn Garland provides very low but passive sanity regen while also continuously degrading in durability as time goes on if it's in your inventory or on your head
*Hollow Stumps: the den of catcoons found in Deciduous Forests, a new catcoon will spawn from a stump every 9600 ticks as long as it is not raining (if it is, the timer is paused); each stump has nine lives and will lose one life for each catcoon spawned, stumps that have zero lives take 13.75 in-game days to regenerate their lives
*New mobs: ghosts, catcoons and shadow creatures
*Mr. Skitts: a hallucinatory shadow creature mob that appears when you're at 15 sanity or below; Mr Skitts doesn't move or anything and will disappear after a long while
*Night Hands: shadow creature mobs that can spawn when at 14 sanity or below; night hands will dash to any campfire or fire pit in range of them, reduce the fire's fuel by half and then teleport away; they can do this up to three times with a cooldown of 3600 ticks between attack-attempts, they also can be killed if you'd rather not risk them making you end up in darkness
*Shadow Watchers: Very tall shadow creature mobs with multiple shadowy head-spines, shadow watchers spawn at night when at 12 sanity or below and do not attack or move; they're ambiance for the most part and will die on daybreak but will also if they're attacked
*Crawling Horrors: they spawn when at 9 sanity or below and are primarily non-interactable and will run away from players but when below 3 sanity or below, the other type of mostly-translucent crawling horror will be replaced by a more solid and hostile crawling horror mob, hostile crawling horrors have powerful negative sanity auras (losing 4 sanity every 1000 ticks) and both can teleport like endermen; hostile crawling horrors restore 2 sanity when killed
*Terrorbeaks: hostile shadow creature mobs that spawn at 3 sanity or below; terrorbeaks are very fast, challenging to outrun without speedboosts and can teleport like endermen; terrorbeaks have strong negative sanity auras like crawling horrors (4 sanity every 1000 ticks); terrorbeaks restore 4 sanity when killed
*Ghosts: hostile flying mobs that have a 10% chance to spawn from dug-up graves but also will spawn by themselves from any grave on full moons
*Catcoons: new neutral mobs that spawn from hollow stump blocks in deciduous forests, catcoons will also prey on and attack small mobs such as rabbits, bees, butterflies and even other catcoons; catcoons can be befriended using various items; killed catcoons drop meat and both neutral/tamed catcoons have a chance to drop a gift each day
*Neutral catcoons can be befriended using any of the following items: birchnuts, butterfly wings (jungle one included), cut grass, eggs, feathers, fish, morsels, paper, pine cones, raw chicken, raw cod, raw rabbit, raw salmon, rope, silk, spider glands, twigs and turtle eggs
