Real plant breeding for Minecraft. Every seed carries a genome. Cross your plants, read their genes in a lab, and breed lines that crop better, shrug off blight and grow where nothing else will. Then grade your harvests, sell them, process them, and chase a gold ribbon.
Press J in game to open the illustrated Field Manual. It explains everything and tracks your progress.
Genetics that actually work
8 crops: Wheatline, Maize, Soybean, Clover, Tuber, Brassica, Gourd and Fiber Flax.
8 genes per plant: yield, growth rate, cold tolerance, drought tolerance, light need, blight resistance, nutrient draw and mutation rate.
49 alleles with dominant, recessive and codominant inheritance. Crosses follow real Mendelian ratios.
Pollination by wind carries pollen downwind between flowering plants. Use a Pollination Brush for a controlled cross, an Isolation Bag to self a plant, or Isolation Screens to keep lines pure.
Graft with the Grafting Knife to clone a plant exactly.
Mutation-only alleles come only from the Mutagen Chamber, the Thermal Shock Unit or rare spontaneous mutation.

The lab
Genome Lab: prints a Genome Card for any seed. The card shows the genotype, the expressed traits, and a cross planner with exact offspring odds.
Seed Bank with Seed Vault Drawers: store lines as genomes and withdraw copies whenever you need them.
Pedigree Sheets, a Field Notebook that logs every cross, and Trial Markers for labelled test plots.
Soil, water and climate
Every farm block tracks nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, pH and moisture. Crops drain the soil; worn-out soil becomes depleted.
Crop rotation matters: clover, soybean and tuber put nitrogen back.
Compost Bins, nutrient blends, lime and sulfur, plus automatic Lime and Sulfur Hoppers, a Nutrient Spreader, Irrigation Lines and Sprinklers.
Build a sealed greenhouse around a Climate Controller and set its temperature, add Grow Lights and Humidifiers, and grow crops out of season.
Blight
Four blight strains spread fastest through genetically uniform fields. Breed resistance alleles into your lines, burn infected plants safely in a Burn Pan, and analyse the strain to learn which alleles defeat it.
The Canopy
Find a ring of eight portal frames in jungles and forests, craft a Canopy Key, and travel to the Canopy: a dimension of giant trees where wild crops carry rare wild alleles. Bring them home and breed them into your lines.
Make your farm pay
Grades: every harvest is graded C, B, A or Prime from its genes and how well you grew it. Higher grades are more filling and sell for more; Prime pays four times Grade C.
Produce Exchange: fill the crate and it sells everything at dawn for emeralds. Flooding one product lowers its price for a while, so a varied farm earns more.
Contract Board: three orders a day for produce, traits or specific alleles. Fill them to raise your reputation and unlock rare supplies.
Processing Station: turn crops into Soy Oil, Starch, Bioplastic, Linen Canvas, Field Meal, Pickled Brassica, Gourd Puree and Biofuel Cake. Goods keep the crop's grade, and Soy Oil speeds up any Cultivar machine.
Ration Packs: wrap 3 to 8 foods in Linen Canvas. More variety and better grades make a stronger ration.
Mastery
Allele Atlas: every allele you read is recorded, with rewards at 12, 24 and 36 alleles and the full set.
Gene Editor: rewrite one allele on a seed, using alleles from your atlas.
Show Bench: judge a line out of 100, win bronze, silver or gold ribbons, and set species records.
Automation
Pollination Units send out Pollinator Drones.
Harvest Collectors send Harvester Carts that harvest, replant and bring the crop home.
Machines have their own screens with live readouts, and many have animated fronts.
