Better Party X Xaero's Minimap

See your party members directly on Xaero's Minimap without changing how Better Party works.

Better Party X Xaero's Minimap connects the party system from Better Party with Xaero's Minimap.

I made this add-on to provide a simple way to keep track of party members while exploring. The party admin controls whether members may appear on the minimap, while each player chooses how the markers look on their own client.

• Displays members of your current Better Party on Xaero's Minimap
• Gives the party admin control over minimap visibility for the entire party
• Lets every player choose between player heads and colored dots
• Includes an adjustable marker size from 1% to 100%
• Keeps personal marker settings client-side
• Shares positions only between members of the same party
• Stops sharing positions when the party admin disables minimap visibility
• Works independently from Better Party's locator setting

How the Integration Works

Better Party remains responsible for party membership, roles, and administration.

1. Players create and manage their party through Better Party.
2. The party admin enables or disables minimap visibility for the party.
3. When enabled, the server sends party-member positions only to members of that party.
4. Xaero's Minimap displays those members using each player's selected marker style and size.

The party-admin setting always has priority over personal display settings.

If the party admin disables minimap visibility, party-member markers are hidden for the entire party.

Marker Settings

Personal marker settings affect only the local client. Changing the marker style or size does not change how party members appear for other players.

Independent from the Locator

This add-on uses its own party-admin visibility setting and does not depend on Better Party's locator feature.

• The locator does not affect minimap markers
• Minimap visibility is controlled by the party admin
• Marker style and size are controlled by each player

This keeps the minimap integration separate from Better Party's other location features.

Party Privacy

Party positions are handled only for the active Better Party group.

• Players outside the party do not receive party-member positions
• Position sharing stops when minimap visibility is disabled
• Personal marker preferences remain local
• Better Party remains the authoritative source for party membership and permissions
