Applied Thaumaturgy

Applied Thaumaturgy brings Thaumaturge’s essentia into your ME network and lets AE2 patterns automate arcane crafting. Essentia works with standard AE2 terminals and buses, so you can filter for it in a regular terminal and move it with the usual import and export buses.

No separate essentia terminal or special buses required.

Use the Thaumic Pattern Encoder to create patterns for Arcane Workbench and supported Runic Matrix recipes, then put them in a Thaumic Pattern Provider.

The Thaumic Pattern Provider works like an AE2 Pattern Provider, delivering ingredients to supported Thaumaturge machines and accepting standard AE2 Processing Patterns for Crucibles and Advanced Alchemical Furnaces.

Thaumaturge’s native Arcane Workbench handles Arcane patterns directly, so there’s no separate Arcane Inscriber, Assembler, or Knowledge Core workflow.

Store and move essentia through your ME network

Essentia Cells store Thaumaturge aspects in ME Drives, and portable cells let you carry essentia with you. Regular AE2 terminals show essentia alongside items and can filter the view to show only essentia.

Use AE2’s standard buses and other network parts to move essentia in and out.

Browse Arcane Workbench recipes

The Arcane Terminal shows recipe ingredients, results, vis costs, research requirements, and primal crystals in a detailed view.

Connect your network to Thaumaturge machines

The ME Essentia Jar lets a nearby Runic Matrix draw essentia from your network. Vis Relay Interfaces carry vis from a Thaumaturge relay to a connected machine.

Thaumaturge’s own rules still apply: research, ingredients, vis, essentia, and the right setup all matter.
