Curse Maven Snippet
- Added ‘Big Bombs,’ more powerful versions of the regular explosives, partly to encourage more use of the Artificery system by means of single-use items, and partly for the sake of giant explosions.
- Added suspicious blackstone, which will be found in Bastions.
- Added potions of Decay; which can be crafted using wither roses, or found in Nether Fortresses.
- Added Melon lanterns, which are like jack o’ lanterns, but made from melons. God only knows why.
- Readjusted difficulty of the mansion, (Again), adding more doors and gates to restrain enemies to specific areas. (But added more vindicators overall.)
- Other miscellaneous tweaks to the mansion.
- Villages now require room for at least three houses instead of just two. This will make villages slightly less common, but also slightly larger in general.
- All structure loot has been readjusted, and, generally speaking, slightly nerfed at least in terms of quantity. (Especially for ruined portals and pillager towers.
- Equipment items in structure chests are now generally damaged.
- Music Disc Fragment subtext is now the same color as Disc Fragment 5.
- Naturally generated suspicious blocks are now, generally, less common.
- Greatly increased the recharge time of Broken Copper Golems.
- Iron Golems will no longer target copper golems that shoot them by accident. They will get mildly annoyed though.
- Fake Iron blocks now use the default iron texture of the current resource pack. (Attempting to summon a golem the old fashioned way without the correct resource pack installed won’t generate inconsistent iron textures.)
- Player-made copper golems no longer require power cells to function.
- Redid models and textures for all copper golems. (Because the old ones may or may not have vanished.)
- Broken Iron Golems are now properly animated, and do a powerful melee attack with high knockback. They’re still pretty easy to avoid.
- Broken Iron Golems no longer start fire when attacking. Only when dying.
- Every variant of Jack O’ Lanterns (and the new melon lanterns) now have a subtly animated glow to match that of Stay True’s jack o’lantern.
- Tripled the durability of Warp Chips.
- Warp Chips can now be dyed freely instead of on crafting. (This does mean the white chip’s durability can be reset, but for the sake of convenience…)
- Increased default Enderporter travel rate to 1 Level per 48 meters.
- Increased Transponder radius when signaling to transceivers.
- Miscellaneous bugfixes with Transceivers.
- The Endorite Core recipe is now properly given upon collecting endorite for the first time.
- Endorite Core now only detects players looking at it.
- Added dust particles when brushing suspicious blocks.
- Added all variations of suspicious blocks to the creative inventory.
- Redid the loot tables of all other suspicious blocks. Generally speaking, machinery is a bit harder to find, and perfect excavation rewards are substantially better.
- Nerfed Gravestone excavation loot to somewhat discourage grave robbery.
- Readjusted the loot tables of all suspicious blocks. (Because the old ones were mostly inaccessible.)
- Suspicious blocks now make a shattering sound when broken without silk touch.
- Suspicious blocks now have additional texture changes to indicate how close the player has gotten to a perfect excavation.
- Changed all brush textures to more closely match the 1.20 version.
- Changed all rubble textures to be slightly softer.
- Lasers in Tinted Glass no longer emit light. (Though this will rarely come up.)
- Spikestone now triggers faster, but has a small detection range.
- Smashstones are now exclusively triggered by players. (They can still be powered manually by redstone.)
- Smashstones can now break through smashable blocks such as glass, leaves, and porcelain.
- Runestone now has a wider detection range, and deals a small amount of magic damage on initial contact.
- Higher level Artificery recipes now require substantially more powerful items to craft. Ancient Machinery or Netherite is now basically required for the highest level weaponry.
- The Artificery Table is now substantially more expensive, requiring 2 Iron blocks to craft.
- Detectors now create a highlight around mineral blocks that is visible through walls, making them far more effective.
- Halved durability of all detectors.
- Updated all Detector textures for consistency.
- Rebalanced all rail weapons. (In most cases, to be substantially more destructive.) Flame Throwers now have slightly explosive shots by default, and larger charged explosions. Frost rails can generate larger ice bubbles and can create ice-trails through the sky during rain. Bolt Throwers, in addition to summoning lightning, always create large non-damaging explosions on impact during thunderstorms.
- Knockback fields generated by Bolt Weaponry and Thunder bombs are now substantially more powerful. (Compared to power cores.)
- Rail weapons now have a decreased cooldown time after charged shots, but firing a charged shot now gives cooldown to all rail weapons in the player’s inventory.
- Tweaked rail weapon particle effects. Again.
- Shock damage dealt by bolt weaponry now only takes into account iron/chainmail armor, and is now compatible with modified armor from Superior Smithing. It still deals durability damage to all armor regardless of type.
- Rebalanced all blasters slightly, so as to make basic Energy blasters not totally useless. Flame/Bolt/Frost blasters are now slightly weaker than energy blasters in terms of power and range; but can deal more damage with special properties.
- Added compatibility for Mindthemood’s Ashen Remains; Flame weaponry, (blasters, bombs, and rails), now ignite custom fire if the mod is installed.
- All Blasters and Rails now leave a unique particle trail for their projectiles. Other particle effects have also been tweaked.
- Changed ammunition of Energy blasters to 14/18/24 for levels I, II, and III respectively. Flame, Bolt, and Frost blasters have 12, 16, and 20 shots, respectively.
- Changed Energy Blaster textures to match boosters of corresponding levels.
- Tweaked handheld display for all blasters and rails to look slightly nicer in Third Person.
- Thunder Bombs now require sky access to summon lightning during storms.
- Bombs can now be thrown indefinitely in creative mode.
- Catalysts have been renamed to bombs to make their purpose clearer. (And to avoid conflict with Sculk Catalysts.)
- Battery life of power saws has been decreased. Power drill battery life has been greatly decreased.
- Drill and Saw noises are now unique, and substantially less annoying than before.
- Extra blocks mined by power saws and drills are now mined significantly faster.
- Updated textures of Power Drills and Power Saws to match the materials of Booster Packs and Booster Greaves based on their level.
- Power Drills now take into account required break level when doing ore drops. Ore blocks mined by a drill with insufficient level do not drop anything.
- Booster Packs and Booster Greaves now become deactivated when they run out of power, and need to be recharged like other artificery items. (The more powerful variants have a slightly longer battery life, but still consume the same amount of power per jump.) They only break if the deactivated variants are excessively damaged.
- Power cells now provide a single charge instead of nine. They can now be stacked up to sixteen.
- Energy Weapons, tools, and other powered items now always retain custom names when unpowered or recharged. These name changes now also support localization.
- Ancient and Strange Machinery blocks can now detect entity distance with greater accuracy, and with a range centered on the block, instead of the bottom left corner.
- Ancient Machinery block now matches the Netherite texture.
- Blocks of Old Machinery are now mined faster with the pickaxe. (Previously any tool could be used.)
- All conveyor belt speeds can now be obtained directly from the creative inventory.
- The conveyor belt recipe is now given upon collecting broken machinery.
- Conveyor belts moving blocks now also push players and entities directly in front of those blocks.
- The wrench now works on logs and pillars.
- Copper pipes can now move any materials, not just items.
- Electrified copper now has a unique death message.
- Power core launching once again uses trig functions to properly determine what direction to launch the player. (Instead of eight cardinal directions.)
- Boosters and Greaves now need to be recharged using power cells, a power core, or a Charger. (They can still be broken, but only in their uncharged state.)
- Updated all Level III artifice items to use netherite instead of recovery compass color palette. (Trust me, it looks slightly nicer.)
- Changed Booster III Armor to match netherite.
- Nether plants now display soul soil instead of dirt when placed in a Flower Vase. A Mangrove propagule displays mud. (And can now be placed in a flower vase.)
- Tweaked several vase textures for color consistency.
- Changed ‘Ravager in a China Shop’ description to be a little clearer.
- Breaking particles for vases are now affected by color.
- All Jack O’Lantern variants now drop a carved pumpkin when broken instead of just a candle.
- Carving a pumpkin now rotates it to face you.
- Slightly tweaked some jack o’ lantern textures.
- All spears now have a 0.75 second cooldown time between throwing.
- Amethyst spear and dagger recipes are now given when an amethyst shard is collected.
- Fixed daggers to actually disable enemy shields. A Dagger crit now either disables the enemy shield, or deals a large amount of damage to an enemy and breaks the dagger.
- Special Dagger recipes, (Prismatic, Amethyst, and Lightning Daggers), now have their recipes properly given when collecting their main ingredients.
- Amethyst Daggers now always drop a shard when broken or used to perform a crit attack.
- Rewrote some subtitles for consistency.
- Leaves are now considered smashable. (They can be broken by falling on them or flying through them at high speeds.)
- Several blocks that previously didn’t show up on maps now show up on maps.
- Frost Charges now create frosted ice instead of regular ice when dispensed or used manually.
- Reorganized pot/vase recipes and merged similar recipes into the same tab.
- Toned down pot item ejection
- Miscellaneous fixes to ceramic pot loot tables.
- Allays now dance to custom music discs.
- Merged music disc recipes to take up less space.
- Decreased volume of music disc fragments.
- Disc 5 Fragments now make a warden sound when inserted into a Jukebox.
- Readjusted Geode costs and rates to be more balanced based on mineral rarities.
- Merged Geode Recipes, and briefly considered making them involve smelting.
- Updated a couple of the porcelain tile blocks to have softer highlights.
- Tweaked filled flower vase inventory names to match their contents. (These are unobtainable, but are now consistent.)
- Flowerpot removal noises now only play when a plant is actually removed, not just when right clicking on them.
- Added Totem of Undying recipe to the other totem recipes. It’s expensive, requiring four vessel pieces, four diamonds, and dragon’s breath. I know they’re farmable, but figured a vanilla method couldn’t hurt. (You can still only get the vessel pieces from illagers.)
- Totem of Hurtling now gives a more powerful jump boost, but does not negate fall damage.
- Totem of Vision now instantly removes blindness and darkness.
- Totem of Leagues now consumes less hunger.
- Changed some totem recipes to better reflect ability/potion base. (Totem of Leagues, Levitation, and Vanishing.)
- Updated Totem textures to better match the new potion colors.
- Merged all porcelain recipes to the same tab.
- Fulgurite now destroys faster with a pickaxe.
- Frost Charges now require a water source block to be successfully dispensed.
- Changed Lightning Shard Texture.
- Fulgurite Blocks now require 9 Lightning Shards instead of 4 to craft.
- Grass blocks can no longer be converted to fulgurite. (The spots accumulate over time and look ugly. Also, I wanted it to be a bit trickier to find.)
