Affinity is an expansive elemental-based alternative and companion to NeoOrigins for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge). This mod fundamentally changes how you survive and interact with the world from the very second you spawn.
- Choice Menu: Joining a world prompts you with a selection menu that alters your entire gameplay experience, similar to NeoOrigins.
- Elemental Affinities: Instead of choosing a fantasy race, you pick an element to have an affinity toward.
- Active Ability: Pressing the default keybind J activates your chosen element's active ability, such as throwing fireballs or opening a custom chunk-claiming interface.
- NeoForge 1.21.1 is required.
- NeoOrigins is fully compatible and recommended.
- Solar Calculus by TradeofallJacks is a required dependency.
- ITR by TradeofallJacks is a required dependency.
- Designed to seamlessly mesh with my other 1.21.1 mods, including Kyoketsu-Shoge and The Morrigan.
- Natural Enemies: Certain elements detest each other. Fire hates Water, Earth hates Air, Metal hates Nature, and Sun hates Moon, and vice versa.
- The Disownment System: If you get too friendly with a player possessing an enemy affinity, your own element may grow resentful and disown you, permanently stripping away your powers.
- Unique Affinities: Void, Magic, and Grimm exist outside the standard rivalries. They can work in tandem, but they are incredibly rare, allowing only one player per server to hold each.

The three Unique Affinities (Void, Magic, and Grimm) utilize a brutal Lifesteal system:
- Unique Affinity users steal max hearts from other players upon killing them.
- If a normal player dies to a Unique Affinity user, they lose a heart but safely respawn. Normal players cannot steal hearts back.
- The Permanent Ban: If a Unique Affinity user is reduced to their very last heart (\(1\) HP left) and is slain by another Unique Affinity user, they are permanently banned from the server.
- Requires NeoForge 1.21.1.
- Built to run perfectly alongside NeoOrigins.
- Check out my other 1.21.1 mods (Kyoketsu-Shoge, The Morrigan) for the intended cohesive multiplayer experience!
