New Damage Indicator Customization Screen
Added a fully data-driven DAI customization screen

Per-Player Skin Selection
- Added persistent
di_skintracking for each player - Each player can independently choose their preferred damage indicator appearance

Custom Resource Pack Support

- Custom skins can override the public
dai_damage_indicators:customfont - Added support for custom digit textures while preserving the built-in indicator logic
- Allows additional resource packs to visually reskin Damage Indicators without modifying the data pack
Damage Detection Improvements
- Damage continues to be sampled at 20 TPS to preserve accurate detection of rapid hits, projectiles, and DAI-native combat
- Improved cumulative
damage_dealttracking by calculating only the damage dealt during the current tick - Damage values are separated into whole and decimal components for stable one-decimal display
- Damage information is stored before the visual indicator is created
Target Resolution Improvements
- Reworked victim detection to resolve the nearby damaged entity once per hit
- Reduced repeated nearest-target searches used by previous versions
- Added tightly scoped temporary attacker and victim tags
- Maintains compatibility with vanilla living entities, DAI-native entities, and other normal living targets
- Preserved attacker-relative fallback positioning when a target disappears during a killing blow
Damage Severity Routing
Added dedicated routing for:
- Light damage
- Medium damage
- Heavy damage
Only the appropriate severity route is executed for each hit
Each severity can use its own themed indicator presentation
Performance Improvements
- Separated combat sampling from visual animation updates
- Combat detection remains at 20 TPS for accuracy
- Damage indicator animation updates now operate at 10 TPS
- Uses
text_displayinterpolation to maintain smooth client-side movement despite the reduced server update rate - Reduced recurring entity-command overhead
- Consolidated victim lookup instead of repeating the same selector across every severity tier
Display Behavior
- Damage indicators spawn above the damaged target for improved melee readability
- Indicators continue moving upward during their lifetime
- Preserved the established approximately 3.5-second indicator lifetime
- Added automatic cleanup of expired display entities
Reload & Initialization Safety
- Players now initialize against their current lifetime damage statistic
- Prevents
/reloadfrom displaying all historical player damage as one enormous damage number - Added cleanup of stale temporary attacker/victim state on reload
- Added cleanup of leftover Damage Indicator text displays during initialization
- Improved recovery if Minecraft statistics are reset or changed externally
Enable / Disable Support
Preserved the existing:
- Enable function
- Disable function
- Toggle function
Player enabled/disabled preference remains supported across reloads
Re-enabling Damage Indicators resynchronizes damage tracking to prevent false indicators
