This pack is officially discontinued. Please see my other shaderpacks for updated alternatives. The closest spiritual successor is UShader (https://rre36.com/ushader).
Some of you might remember this: https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/1293963-rre36s-shaders
I abandoned it back then because I needed a break from shaders and moved on to other things.
Now I’ve been back in shader development for a few months now and I felt like I should go back to this shader.
Obviously I have to rebuild it from the ground up since I no longer require the use of Chocapics Code as a base, but instead my very own framework which is built with flexibility in mind.
So stay tuned for some updates and new visuals!
Where can I download it?
Either here or via my website (link below).
Any Requirements?
Optifine for 1.12 or newer
A nVidia or AMD graphics card supporting OpenGL 4.0
Windows or Linux

I like these shaders - have to confess I have edited the light colour to a white light though, emitted from torches etc. [const vec3 lightColor = vec3(0.88, 0.89, 0.81);]
However, this doesn't seem to affect the colour of light bouncing off glass! Is there a way to turn off or edit the glass reflections in the pack please? It is difficult to see through glass in some circumstances, and also glass objects like tables and smaller blocks reflect in a strange way sometimes.
In reply to Aecht_Rob:
Aha! No I found it - its also defined in the water section. Anyway, those values vec3(0.88, 0.89, 0.81) give a daylight/natural lighting to everything, at more or less 5000K colour. Perhaps you can toggle a menu option to add and use that?
The clouds have weird lines going through them, can someone help me? (I dont know how to insert an image)![]()

Make sure that the anisotropic filtering setting in the nvidia control panel is set to default if you're using an nVidia GPU.
In reply to RRe36:
What's the default, Application-controlled, off, 2x, 4x, 8x, or 16x?
Application-controlled
I've tried numerous other shaders and keep returning to this one. Any plans to support dimensions other than the Overworld/Nether? Twilight Forest and OTG dimensions look lame when you've just came from an overworld with the sweet combination of RRE36 and Vanilla Normals Renewed.
In reply to Powermonkey00:
I might add some kind of general dimension support that is automatically being used, but it'll be some time until i get around to work on this shader since i'm in the middle of redoing all of my shaders atm.
This is my favorite shader but could you please add the feature for lightmap? Night vision effects doesnt work when using this shader. Thank you
In reply to hyeran05:
night vision will be fixed in the next version
In reply to RRe36:
Good to hear! Looking forward to the release
I really like this shader for the most part, but motion blur or some other similar effect seems to be applied even with motion blur disabled.
In reply to Powermonkey00:
You're likely referring to TAA. It might cause some ghosting when fps are rather low but usually it's not that visible.
