Still Behind You: Server Edition
Your blocks only move when you aren't looking.
Placed Pursuit #Option 1
In this mode, almost every block you place can start following you.
Once a block has been placed, it gets a five-second grace period. After that, whenever nobody nearby can see where the block is or where it is trying to move, it can sneak closer and join the loose formation following its owner.
Look behind you and everything stops.
Look away again... and your house might be a little closer than you remember or.... in pieces...
The plugin also understands blocks that belong together. Doors, beds, tall plants, double chests and attached blocks move as complete groups instead of being torn apart.
Inventories and block-entity data are preserved while blocks move, so your chests keep their items and functional blocks keep their data.
Even liquids are not completely safe. Water, lava and powder snow placed using buckets also count as player-placed blocks.
Classic #Option 2
Want something closer to the original Still Behind You experience?
Classic mode limits the haunting to workstation-style blocks and a handful of familiar utility blocks:
- Crafting tables
- Furnaces, blast furnaces and smokers
- Brewing stands, enchanting tables and smithing tables
- Stonecutters, grindstones, looms and cartography tables
- Chests and trapped chests
- Anvils
- Ender chests
- Lecterns
Classic followers do not have the five-second placement delay, so they can begin following you immediately.
They will, however, behave themselves while their owner has a container open. Nobody wants their chest walking away while they are trying to organize it.
Selecting a Mode
Start the server once so the plugin can generate its configuration file, then open:
plugins/StillBehindYou/config.yml
To use Placed Pursuit, set:
mode: placed-pursuit
or keep it classic
