Halloween Dimension

Paper 1.21.11 event plugin. An admin opens a portal in the overworld. Players walk into it, fight stronger mobs in a dark dimension, and come back with a return sphere.

Supported server: Paper 1.21.11. This plugin does not run on Spigot, Bukkit, or Folia.

Commands

/halloween shows help to everyone. Every other command needs halloween.admin (operators by default).

/halloween create — create and load the dimension
/halloween portal — open the overworld entrance in front of you
/halloween portal remove — remove the overworld portal beside you
/halloween tp [player] — teleport to the plaza
/halloween exit [player] — leave the dimension without a sphere
/halloween boss — summon the boss where you stand, inside the dimension
/halloween give <sphere|trophy> [player] — give a return sphere or the boss trophy
/halloween reload — reload the config

How play works

The entrance is a soul-sand frame with a glow. It does not use nether portal blocks. Players cannot break it. An admin removes it with /halloween portal remove.

The return gate on the plaza stays in the dimension. Leaving still requires a return sphere, /halloween exit, or an admin teleport.

Any mob in the dimension can drop a return sphere. The default chance is 8%, with a guaranteed drop after 18 kills without one. Looting raises the chance. Right-click the sphere inside the dimension to go back to the saved spot.

The boss does not spawn on its own. An admin summons it with /halloween boss while standing in the dimension.

Zombies and skeletons are 1.5 times faster, have double health, and break the block in their way. They do not break the portal, chests, or the plaza. The boss can break cover on the plaza.

Gliding with an elytra in the dimension deals damage, applies blindness, and pulls the player down. Creative and spectator are exempt.

Death inside the dimension does not drop items and does not send the player home. Messages follow the client language, Russian or English.

Install

1. Use Paper 1.21.11.
2. Put Halloween-1.0.0.jar in the server plugins folder.
3. Restart the server.
4. Run /halloween create, then stand in the overworld and run /halloween portal.

The config is plugins/Halloween/config.yml. New files are created on first start. An existing config is kept.

halloween.admin defaults to operators. It covers create, portal, teleport, exit, boss, give, and reload.
