Specialised Hive Spells is a resource pack that brings unique and animated textures to the base Spells of Skywars in The Hive.

Supported Spells

  • Spell of Life
  • Spell of Swiftness
  • Spell of Fire Trail

Other Spells may be supported in the future if The Hive adds other permanent (non-weekly) Spells. 

Spell Books in the inventory

How to use in the hotbar

Simply hover over by selecting the Spell in the hotbar. The custom spell book texture will be hidden when not selected.

How to display the custom texture and animation for Spell Books

Technical limitations

Since on a technical level, it works as an UI overlay, and therefore it doesn't act on the book texture itself, so there are some limitations.

  • that in the hotbar the custom spell book texture will be hidden when not selected
  • dropped Spells don't show the custom texture
  • Spell Books do not show their custom texture in the hand of the player
  • for a few instants, the custom texture will disappear when an item is moved in the inventory
