YGP! True Offhand Functionality brings a more flexible offhand experience to Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

Quickly swap your selected hotbar item with the real offhand slot and use supported items in your offhand without needing complicated inventory management.

Quickly swap your selected hotbar item with your real offhand item.

Double Sneak / Crouch → Swap

You can also use the supported script event:

🛡️ Real Offhand Slot

The addon works with Minecraft Bedrock's actual offhand equipment slot.

This is not a fake inventory slot or a visual-only system.

Supported functionality depends on the item's compatibility with Bedrock's offhand system.

🎒 SUPPORTED ITEMS

The current release supports a selection of items for offhand functionality.

Support is still being expanded.

Some items may work differently depending on their normal Bedrock behavior.

More item compatibility is planned for future updates.

The addon uses simple controls so you can quickly move between your main hand and offhand.

🎮 HOW TO USE

Method 1 — Double Sneak

1. Enter your Minecraft world.
2. Put an item in your selected hotbar slot.
3. Make sure your offhand is available.
4. Quickly double-sneak / crouch.
5. Your selected item will swap with the offhand item.

Method 2 — Script Event

Use:

/scriptevent ygp:swap

This manually triggers the swap.

🔍 CHECK YOUR HANDS

You can check the current main-hand and offhand items with:

/scriptevent ygp:status

This can help you confirm what the addon currently detects.

⚠️ IMPORTANT

Minecraft Bedrock does not provide identical offhand behavior for every item like Minecraft Java Edition.

Because of this, not every Minecraft item is currently supported.

If an item does not work correctly in the offhand, this does not necessarily mean the addon is broken.

More item compatibility will be added in future updates.
