Yo! What is up, Minecraft SMP tryhards and PvP legends? Are you guys completely bored of just building automatic farms, trading with villagers, and living peacefully on your multiplayer servers? You probably have chests full of enchanted netherite armor, but absolutely no real reason to use it except fighting the same old predictable mobs. It gets super dry after a few weeks, right? I wanted to add some real tension, excitement, and betrayal to survival multiplayer.
That is exactly why I created this Bounty Hunter add-on. This is not some basic mini-game where you get teleported to an arena. It is a fully integrated background system that turns your entire normal survival world into a massive, sweaty hunting ground. It brings the raw thrill of being a hitman straight into vanilla Bedrock without ruining the core game.
How the Bounty System Works
Forget about typing long commands or setting things up manually as a server admin. The script runs entirely in the background from the moment you load the world. As long as there are multiple people online, the system will wake up. Every three to seven minutes, the game randomly picks one player on the server and places a massive coin bounty on their head.
It does not matter if they are building a secret base, mining for diamonds at bedrock level, or just AFK near a portal. When that global alert pops up on everyone's screen, the hunt officially begins. Every other player on the server instantly becomes a hunter. You have exactly five minutes to track that specific person down and secure the kill. If you manage to take them out yourself, you claim the massive coin reward and get rich.
The Mega Bounties and Streaks
Regular bounties are already a great way to farm coins, but I had to add a completely insane twist to keep things interesting. Every single time a bounty is assigned, there is a rare eight percent chance for it to upgrade into a Mega Bounty. When this happens, the screen flashes, a special sound effect plays, and the coin reward is literally tripled. The whole server goes absolutely crazy trying to secure that specific kill because the payout is massive.
I also coded a full multiplier streak system to reward the best PvPers. If you claim multiple bounties back to back without missing a hunt, your claim streak goes up. Every streak level gives you a flat fifteen percent bonus multiplier on your future coin rewards. If you reach a high streak, you are basically printing virtual money. But be careful, if the timer expires and you miss a claim, your streak resets back to zero.
What happens if you are the target?
I absolutely did not want the targeted players to just feel like helpless victims waiting to get jumped. If your name gets called by the system, you have a choice. You can fight back, or you can run and hide like a ghost. If you manage to survive the full five-minute timer without dying to another player, the bounty expires. And because you survived the server-wide manhunt, the system actually rewards you with a massive survival coin bonus. Just like the hunters, you can build up your own survival streak. If you survive multiple bounties placed on your head over time, your bonus multiplier goes through the roof. It is incredibly stressful looking over your shoulder, but so rewarding when you hear that survival success sound.
The Black Market Shop
So, what are you actually going to do with all those coins you earned from spilling blood? I built a fully functional custom UI shop that you can access anywhere in the world. Just hold a standard vanilla book, crouch, and use the item to open the main menu. Inside, you can spend your hard-earned coins on some insane gameplay upgrades.
You can purchase a Streak Freeze to save your precious multiplier if you think you are going to miss the next hunt. If you are tired of being hunted and want to build in peace, you can buy Bounty Insurance, which automatically cuts the reward on your head in half so players are less motivated to chase you. If you are hunting a very sneaky player, you can buy a Target Hint to reveal exactly which dimension they are hiding in. And if you want to get rich quick, you can drop some coins on a Coin Boost that doubles all your earnings for five minutes. I even added a free coin button that you can claim every ten minutes if you go completely broke.
Ranks and Leaderboards
This add-on is all about flexing your dominance on your friends. Every time you successfully claim a bounty, your total claim count goes up. As you secure more kills over time, you rank up.
Everyone starts as a Newcomer, but as you grind, you unlock brutal titles like Tracker, Slayer, Executioner, Predator, Legend, and eventually the ultra-rare Mythic rank. But here is the major catch: the higher your rank gets, the bigger the base bounty gets placed on your head when the system randomly picks you. It balances the game out perfectly so the top players become the biggest targets.
There is also a live leaderboard built right into the book menu. You can check exactly who has the most claims, who has earned the most coins, and who is currently holding the highest active kill streak on the server.
The Technical Setup (READ THIS)
Since this is a heavy script-based pack that relies on custom UI menus, persistent coin tracking, and background timers, you absolutely need to toggle on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings before you load in. If you forget to turn this on, the book menu will not open and the random bounties will never start. Drop this into your active behavior packs, grab some friends, and get ready for pure chaos.
