Description
We have all played Minecraft survival a million times. We chop wood, we build massive chest rooms, we hoard stacks of dirt and cobblestone, and we run around with thirty different items in our inventory like it is absolutely nothing.
The game has become way too easy, bro. So I sat down and thought, how can I make survival mode an absolute nightmare, but in a totally fun and challenging way? Welcome to the One Slot Challenge.
When you load into your world with this add-on, you spawn with exactly one single inventory slot unlocked.
That is it. Just one. If you punch a tree and pick up a log, your inventory is completely full. You are going to have to rethink everything you know about playing this game.
The Brutal Core Mechanic
You are probably wondering, what happens if I try to pick up a second item? Does it just disappear? No, bro, it is way more brutal than that. I coded a custom physics system for your inventory.
If you already have an item in your single slot and you accidentally walk over a sapling or a dirt block, your character will physically throw that item forward out of your inventory.
It literally snatches the item out of your hands and tosses it on the ground right in front of you.
Just imagine the pure panic of trying to craft a wooden pickaxe. You need planks and sticks. But how do you hold both at the same time? You have to juggle your items on the floor.
You drop the planks, hold the sticks, open the crafting table, and frantically try to combine them before a zombie sneaks up on you. It is literal torture, but the feeling of finally crafting your first tool is absolutely insane.
The Milestone Progression System
Do not panic completely, you do not have to beat the Ender Dragon with only one slot. I created a full progression system based on different ages of survival.
As you grind and discover new rare materials, the add-on recognizes your progress and permanently unlocks more slots for your character. It feels so rewarding when you finally get that extra space. Here is exactly how you can upgrade your inventory capacity:
The Wood Age
Your very first goal. The moment you chop your first tree and hold any type of wooden log in your hand, you enter the Wood Age. The game will play a level-up sound, a massive title will pop up on your screen, and you will unlock your second inventory slot. You now have two slots to survive.
The Stone Age
Once you manage to craft a wooden pickaxe and mine your first piece of cobblestone or stone, you officially hit the Stone Age. This grants you one more additional slot. Now you can hold a sword, a pickaxe, and some blocks. You are slowly getting stronger.
The Iron and Golden Ages
This is where the grind gets real. Once you manage to build a furnace and smelt an Iron Ingot, you get a massive two-slot bonus. Finding a Gold Ingot will give you another two-slot bonus. Your inventory is finally starting to look somewhat normal, but you still cannot hoard junk.
The Diamond and Obsidian Ages
Only the sweatiest players will reach this point. The moment you secure your very first Diamond, the add-on rewards you with a huge three-slot bonus. When you finally pour water on lava and mine Obsidian, you get another two slots.
Into the Nether
Your final major milestone. Build the portal, step into the terrible dimension, and grab a piece of Netherrack. This ultimate achievement gives you a massive four-slot bonus. If you make it this far, you have truly mastered the challenge.
Multiplayer Flexing
This add-on is completely multiplayer compatible, and I highly recommend playing it with your squad. It is hilarious watching your friends struggle to manage a single block of dirt. Whenever someone reaches a new milestone, the script sends a global broadcast message in the chat with a trophy icon.
The whole server will see exactly who just hit the Diamond Age and who is still stuck juggling logs in the Wood Age. It makes the challenge super competitive.
The Technical Setup
Listen, since this add-on uses custom scripts to physically throw items and lock your inventory slots, you absolutely must go into your world settings and turn on the Beta APIs experiment before creating the world.
If you forget to do this, the script will not load, and you will just have a normal, boring inventory. Make sure you load this up on a fresh world so the challenge tracks properly from the very first second you spawn.
