Description
Yo! What is up, Minecraft survival players? Have you ever noticed that you can run around your world, slaughtering thousands of animals and monsters, and the game just does not care? There are zero consequences for being an absolute menace to the environment. I wanted to completely change how survival feels.
I built this Corruption add-on to make the world actually react to your actions. If you play like a villain, the world will treat you like one. But it is not just a punishment—it is a massive risk and reward system that completely changes how you approach every single fight in your survival world.
How the Corruption works
Every time you take a life, your corruption level goes up. Killing standard hostile monsters gives you a small amount of corruption. But if you go around murdering innocent passive mobs like cows, sheep, or especially rare mobs like axolotls and allays, your corruption spikes massively.
There are seven total stages of corruption, starting from Pure all the way up to THE CORRUPTED at 100 percent. As your percentage rises, things start getting genuinely unsettling. The sky darkens, you hear creepy ambient heartbeat sounds, and reality starts fracturing around you with random terrifying messages popping up in your chat.
The Risk and The Reward
Here is where the gameplay gets completely insane. As you become more corrupted, the world actively fights back against you. You will start getting heavy debuffs stacked on your character like weakness, mining fatigue, constant hunger, and eventually pure darkness.
On top of that, any hostile mobs that spawn near you get insanely buffed with extra health, speed, and fire resistance. Surviving a simple cave run becomes an absolute nightmare.
But why would you risk it? Because corruption gives you raw, unfiltered power. At higher levels, you receive massive permanent strength buffs. You hit like an absolute truck, turning you into a dangerous glass cannon. You have to decide if the insane melee damage is worth the terrifying environmental consequences.
How to heal the world
If things get out of hand and you want to fix your mistakes, you can purify your soul. You have to actually do good deeds for the environment to fight the decay.
Planting tree saplings, growing flowers, breeding animals, and healing your pet wolves will slowly lower your corruption level. It takes time and effort to heal the world.
If you reach maximum corruption and somehow manage to fully purify yourself back to zero, there is a legendary redemption achievement waiting for you.
The Custom Menu and Tracking
You do not need to type any annoying commands to see your stats. Just grab any type of book in your hand and sneak. This opens up a fully custom UI menu right on your screen.
You can check your exact corruption percentage, see your total kills, track your passive mob kills, and view your active effects. I also built a clean action bar HUD that stays on your screen, updating your stats in real-time.
For multiplayer servers, I even added a custom achievement system and a live leaderboard so you can see exactly who is the most evil player in your realm.
