What is up, Minecraft players?
What is going on, my Minecraft brothers? Voxelbro is back again with another massive drop for your survival worlds. Let us be completely honest for a second. We all love playing Minecraft, we all love building massive bases, and we all love getting stacked with diamond gear. But there is one thing that absolutely everyone hates: the endless, mind-numbing grind of mining ores one by one.
You go deep down into the caves, you find a massive copper vein or a huge coal patch, and you just sit there holding the left click for five minutes straight. It is just pure pain and wastes so much time. I was literally so tired of wasting my gaming hours breaking single blocks that I decided to write my own solution from scratch. I wanted something that felt extremely powerful but still fit right into the vanilla survival experience. That is exactly how VB VeinStrike was born.
How the Core Mechanic Actually Works
So what exactly does this add-on do? The concept is very simple but the execution is incredibly OP. Whenever you are holding any type of pickaxe and you break an ore block, the custom background script I wrote instantly scans the surrounding area and breaks every single connected ore of that exact same type.
You mine one single block, and the entire vein shatters at once. The default limit is safely set to 64 blocks per vein, so you will not accidentally crash your game or lag out your server if you stumble upon a crazy world generation glitch. All the dropped items and all the XP orbs come flying right at you instantly.
I made absolutely sure that it works perfectly with literally every single vanilla ore in the game, starting from basic coal and iron all the way down to ancient debris in the fiery depths of the Nether.
Advanced Settings and Custom UI Menus
I know from experience that every player has a different play style, and server owners always need to control how OP things get for their players. So, I built a completely custom user interface right into the add-on itself. You do not need to remember or type any long, confusing commands in the chat. All you have to do is hold a standard Name Tag in your hand and sneak (crouch).
Boom, the main settings menu pops up right on your screen. From there, you can easily adjust the maximum blocks broken per vein, change the XP multiplier (it is set to 2x by default because we all know we need more XP for mending), and toggle various extra features on or off without any hassle.
Auto-Smelt and Fortune Enchantment Support
This is the part where the add-on gets really crazy. Inside the toggle settings menu, you can turn on the custom Auto-Smelt feature. If you have this turned on and you mine an iron, gold, or copper vein, the add-on automatically smelts the raw ores and gives you the finished ingots directly into your inventory.
No more crafting twenty furnaces and waiting around your base for half an hour. And do not worry about losing the value of your highly enchanted gear. The script is smart enough to read the exact pickaxe you are holding. If you have Fortune 1, 2, or 3 applied to your tool, the code calculates the exact vanilla math and multiplies your ore drops just like the normal game would.
Milestones, Player Stats, and Server Leaderboards
I really wanted to add a bit of fun competition and soul to the boring mining process. As you mine ores, the add-on silently tracks your personal statistics in the background. It counts exactly how many total blocks you have broken, records your biggest single vein mined, and tracks exactly how many of each specific ore you have collected. If you hold a normal Book in your hand and sneak, you can open your personal stats page to flex your numbers.
There is also a server-wide Leaderboard accessible from the main menu, so if you are playing on a multiplayer SMP with your friends, you can easily see who is the ultimate grinding god of the server. The script even celebrates your hard work. When you hit major milestones like 100, 1000, or 10000 total ores mined, it plays epic sound effects, announces your achievement in the chat, and sometimes even gives you a rare reward like a free diamond or a netherite scrap to keep you fully motivated.
Smart Controls for Building
Sometimes you actually want to build a custom cave with ores instead of mining them, or you just want to break one block to make a path without triggering the whole vein explosion. I thought about that situation too. If you want to mine a block normally like vanilla, just hold crouch (sneak) while breaking the ore.
The vein miner script will be temporarily disabled for that swing. There is also a sleek action bar display constantly updating at the bottom of your screen that always tells you if the VeinStrike mode is currently active or disabled, so you never make a mistake and destroy your base decorations.
The Technical Setup (Read Carefully)
Because this add-on uses complex Breadth-First Search algorithms for block scanning, custom UI forms, and dynamic properties to permanently save your stats, you absolutely must enable the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings before loading the world. I cannot stress this enough.
If you forget to toggle this on, the name tag menu will not open, and the entire vein mining logic will completely fail to trigger.
Quick AI Heads-up
Just keeping it totally real with you guys, as I always do on this page. I used some AI image generators to upscale the main thumbnail and enhance the gallery screenshots so the CurseForge project page looks clean, sharp, and professional.
