RR Spider Hook v2.0.0 - The Ultimate Grappling Addon

Hey everyone! Let's be honest, walking across the infinite world of Minecraft takes way too much time. Climbing massive mountains block by block is incredibly boring, and crossing huge ravines is always a risk. While the Elytra is a great way to fly, it is a hardcore endgame item that takes weeks of survival grinding to get. I wanted to move with the speed and agility of a superhero right from the very first day of my survival world.

So, I created the RR Spider Hook Addon. This is not a simple texture pack that just changes how an item looks. This is a highly advanced physics script that completely reimagines the humble vanilla Fishing Rod. It turns your basic rod into a high-tech grappling gun that lets you swing from tree to tree, scale massive cliffs in seconds, and dominate PvP battles. For Version 2.0.0, I have completely rewritten the physics engine, and this is the Full Access Edition. Every single web-swinging ability and setting is fully unlocked for you right out of the box!

The 5 Advanced Movement Modes

I did not just want to give you a basic grappling hook. I wanted to give you an entire arsenal of movement abilities. You can switch between 5 different hook modes depending on how you want to traverse your world or fight your enemies:

• Swing Mode: This is the classic superhero experience. Look at any block in the distance and use your fishing rod. The script will calculate the exact angle and launch you through the air towards that point with real velocity. It leaves a beautiful particle trail behind you as you fly.
• Zip Mode: Sometimes you do not want to swing; you just want to get there instantly. Zip Mode acts like an instant teleportation device. Aim at the top of a giant base, fire your hook, and you will instantly appear standing safely on top of that target block.
• Pull Mode (Combat): Why move to the enemy when you can force the enemy to come to you? Aim your hook at a Zombie, a Creeper, or even another player in PvP. Firing the hook will aggressively pull them straight to your feet.
• Launch Mode: Stuck in a deep hole or surrounded by monsters? You do not even need to aim at a block for this. Just activate Launch Mode, and the hook will blast you straight upward into the sky, giving you the high ground instantly.
• Air Dash: This is the ultimate dodging tool. Firing the hook in this mode gives you a rapid, horizontal dash in whatever direction you are looking. It is perfect for dodging skeleton arrows or making impossible parkour jumps mid-air.

Advanced Momentum & Safe Landings

One of the biggest problems with old grappling hook mods was the fall damage. You would swing beautifully across a ravine, only to hit the ground and instantly die. I solved this completely. The moment you are airborne using any of the hook modes, the addon automatically grants you a Slow Falling effect. You will glide down and land safely from any height.

I also built a highly realistic Momentum Boost system into the Swing Mode. The script calculates the height difference between you and your target. If you aim at a target that is much higher than you (like the peak of a mountain), the hook applies an extra burst of speed, making the swinging feel incredibly natural and physics-based.

The Web Trap Combat System

This addon is not just for traveling; it is a massive advantage in combat. When you use the Pull Mode on an enemy, it does not just bring them to you. It automatically activates the new Web Trap system. The moment the enemy is pulled, the script applies a heavy Slowness II effect to them for 3 full seconds. They will be trapped and unable to run away, allowing you to easily finish them off with your sword.

In-Game Settings Menu & Customization

You have total control over how powerful your grappling hook is. You do not need to type any annoying chat commands. Simply hold your Fishing Rod, Sneak (crouch), and click the screen to open the beautiful custom Settings Menu. (You can also Sneak with a standard Book to open the quick menu).

From this menu, you can customize everything:

• Grapple Range: Adjust your maximum shooting distance anywhere from a short 20 blocks up to a massive 100-block range!
• Speed & Power Sliders: Manually adjust your Swing Speed (up to 4x power) and your Pull Power strength.
• Slow Fall Duration: Choose exactly how long your safe-landing effect lasts, from 1 second up to 6 seconds.
• Custom Particle Styles: Customize the look of your web with 6 different visual trails, including White Cloud puffs, End Rod sparkles, Gray Smoke, Fire Flames, Purple Magic, and Yellow Critical Stars.
• Audio Toggles: Turn the custom sound effects (like the mechanical zip, the heavy launch boost, and the air dash whoosh) ON or OFF.

Live Stats Tracking & Zero Lag

If you love swinging around your world, you will love the new Stats Tracker. The addon silently records your entire movement history in the background. You can open your profile to see your Total Swings, Total Zips, Total Enemies Pulled, Air Dashes executed, and the exact Total Distance you have traveled in meters.

I also heavily optimized the vector math and physics calculations for Version 2.0.0. The addon uses strict try-catch error handling and safe entity validation. This means you can swing around your multiplayer Realm all day long with zero cooldowns, and it will never cause server lag or drop your frames per second.
