RR Hardest Skyblock - Brutal One Block

Whats up guys racing raftaar here back with another addon. So you guys keep telling me that normal one block skyblock is way too easy. You just break a block get some wood build a basic house and you are done. There is no real challenge anymore after the first few hours. So i decided to take that personally and I created the RR Hardest Skyblock addon. 

This is the Brutal Update version 4.0.0 and i am not kidding when i say this will probably make you rage quit your game. I completely removed all the hand holding and easy stuff. There is no easy loot and literally everything wants to kill you. If you want a relaxing skyblock experience to play while listening to music do not download this. But if you want extreme grind and actual pain then this is for you.

​The Brutal Mining System

​The core mechanic of breaking the center block is totally cursed now. In a normal skyblock you break a block and you get an item. But in this addon there is a 50 percent chance that you get absolutely nothing. You just break it and poof, no items drop at all. It makes the grind so much longer and you have to work twice as hard just to get basic cobblestone.

But that is not even the worst part about mining. Every time you break the block there is a 15 percent chance that a random hostile mob will spawn literally right on top of the block. So you could be peacefully mining some dirt and suddenly a spider or a creeper drops directly on your head and blows up your island. And just to make it a little bit more annoying there is a 5 percent chance for a curse event where the game just blinds you and gives you the poison effect for no reason at all.

​Phases and Boss Fights

​I extended the whole game to 10000 blocks total so it is a very long journey. There are 10 extreme phases you have to survive to beat the game. You start in Dirt Purgatory then you go to Stone Agony, Frozen Hell, Scorched Earth, Overgrown Terror all the way up to the Nether Forge and Dragon Wrath. The loot pools in all these phases are heavily nerfed so you will struggle to find good items.

​But here is where the addon gets insane. At the end of every single phase which means every 1000 blocks, a boss will spawn on your island. But these are not just regular mobs with a name tag. I coded them to have permanent strength and speed effects so they run at you super fast and hit like a truck. You have to fight bosses like Bone Crusher, Abyssal Bomber and the Wither Lord on a tiny floating island where one knockback hit means death. And the center block actually stops respawning while the boss is alive so you are forced to fight it. You cant just box it up and ignore it.

​The Void Catalyst and Prestige

​When you first join the world you get a special item called the Void Catalyst which is basically a nether star. If you use it it opens a very clean UI menu on your screen. In this menu you can check all your stats like your total score, how many blocks you mined and how many bosses you have killed. You can also see a list of all the phases to see how far you are from the end. If you are crazy enough to actually mine 10000 blocks and beat the final ender dragon boss I added a Prestige system.

You can click the prestige button and it resets your entire score back to zero but it gives you a permanent prestige rank on your menu. It is just there for ultimate bragging rights if you play on a multiplayer realm with your friends. Oh and i also changed how falling into the void works. Usually you just fall and die. But now if you fall the game teleports you back to the block but punishes you with the Wither effect so you take massive damage just for being clumsy.

​How to Apply in Minecraft

​Installing this addon is very simple. Once you download the file you just have to tap on it or open it with minecraft and it will automatically import. Then you go to your world settings, find the behavior packs tab and activate the RR Hardest Skyblock addon. Make sure you put this on a brand new world and not your old survival worlds because it changes the spawn mechanics and teleports you to the sky automatically. Also make sure no other heavy addons are running so the UI menu doesnt break.

​Beta APIs Setup

​Because this addon uses custom dynamic properties to save your exact score and prestige level forever and uses background scripts to handle the boss spawning and the void catalyst menu, you absolutely must turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings. Before you create the world scroll down to the experiments toggle and turn Beta APIs on. If you dont do this the block will not drop anything and the menus will not open.
