Pyrow's Slots SMP

Every death costs you an inventory slot. Every slot you find is a lifeline.

Pyrow's Slots SMP is a Bedrock recreation of the "Slots SMP" concept: the ultimate high-stakes twist on survival multiplayer. Dying doesn't just cost you your items anymore — it costs you a permanent piece of your inventory. Run out of slots entirely, and you're eliminated.

🎒 The Concept

You start with all 37 of your inventory slots (27 main inventory + 9 hotbar + 1 offhand). Every time you die, one of those slots locks up for good — until you get it back.

Losing a slot isn't the end, though. It's an opportunity:

• Slot Recovery — Every death drops a Slot item where you fell. Whoever grabs it and right-clicks it gets one of their own locked slots back.
• Slot Crafting — Can't find one on the ground? Craft your own: 4 Gold Blocks, 4 Diamond Blocks, and a Wither Skeleton Skull in a 3x3 grid.
• Slot Trading — Slots are valuable. Pull one out of your own inventory with a simple chat command and trade it to another player.
• Constant Tension — Every death is a real cost. Every Slot item is a real prize. Run out completely, and you're eliminated to Spectator mode.

It's inventory management, risk assessment, and player-driven economy, all layered on top of vanilla survival.

📥 Installation

1. Download and open the .mcaddon file — Minecraft will import both the behavior pack and resource pack automatically.
2. Create a new world (or edit an existing one) and make sure both packs are turned on.
3. Under the world's Experiments tab, turn on Beta APIs — this addon's mechanics run on the scripting engine, so this toggle is required.
4. Load in and play. Every feature works in plain survival with cheats off.

🙌 Credits

Concept adapted from the "Slots SMP Remake" Java datapack as a base line for what it should do because theres not much info online about the real slots smp, rebuilt from the ground up for Bedrock using the Scripting API. Slots don't work the same way behind the scenes on Bedrock as they do in Java — no raw NBT editing here — so this is a full reimplementation built to match the original feature-for-feature.
