Pyrows Spear Mace SMP
Everyone who joins gets a God Spear (a netherite spear) and a God Mace. You can’t drop them, you keep them when you die, and you only ever have one of each. Both start at level 0 and the whole point is leveling them up by killing other players.
How leveling works
When you kill a player you get 1 kill point. A menu pops up a couple of seconds later (or type /pyrow:menu whenever) and you choose which weapon gets the point. One point is one level, and the max is 35 on each weapon.
Every level gives that weapon +0.1 damage. Every even level unlocks an ability, and some levels also bump the real enchantments on the item, like Sharpness, Density, Unbreaking and so on. At 35 the weapon is ascended: gold name, every enchant maxed, +2 damage, shorter cooldowns and a particle aura while you hold it.
Each weapon also has an energy bar, 100 energy per level. When someone kills you they take 30 to 70 energy from the weapon they killed you with and add it to theirs. If you lose enough, the weapon drops a level. So dying costs you something, and a good streak snowballs.
Killing the same player again within 2 minutes gives you nothing, so you can’t just farm a friend.
The spear
It’s the mobility weapon. You stop taking fall damage at level 2. From level 4, swap hands (F) to dash toward wherever you’re aiming. From level 10, sneak and swap hands to launch forward, on land or in water. Both have cooldowns that shrink as you level. Along the way you pick up speed, jump boost, saturation from swinging at the air, a heal when you’re about to die (Second Wind), slowness on hit, bonus damage after a dash, and bonus damage against sprinting players.
The mace
It’s the tank weapon. Smash attacks create a shockwave that hurts and knocks back everything nearby, and it grows with level. Holding it gives you Haste, Fire Resistance, Resistance, Jump Boost, Speed and extra hearts as you climb. Later perks include lifesteal, healing on smash attacks, a combo damage bonus, and Undying, which saves you from a lethal hit once every 5 minutes while you’re holding the mace.
The full ability list for each weapon is in /pyrow:menu under “abilities”, with what each one needs and does.
What you’ll see in game
Your spear and mace levels show above your head, like 12/7 over your name. The action bar shows the weapon you’re holding, its level, an energy bar and the next ability you’re about to unlock. Weapon names and lore update on their own as you level.
You also get 64 breeze rods the first time you join.

Installing
Open the .mcaddon file and Minecraft imports both packs. Turn on the behavior pack and the resource pack for your world. The resource pack only changes the item textures, but the behavior pack does all the work. On a dedicated server, drop the two folders into behavior_packs and resource_packs and add them to your world’s pack lists. If the game says the pack needs a newer version, update Minecraft.
Changing things
Most of the numbers you’d want to touch are in scripts/config.js: how much energy gets stolen, the repeat-kill window, dash and riptide strength, and the breeze rod kit. The ability lists and enchantment steps are in scripts/perks.js.
