Painless Pearls

Pearl anywhere you want, your health bar won't even notice.

No Damage Pearl

Throw ender pearls without taking a single point of teleport damage.

In vanilla Minecraft, every ender pearl you throw costs you 5 damage — two and a half hearts the moment it lands. That turns the game's best mobility tool into something you have to ration: you check your health before you pearl, you skip the shortcut across the ravine, and every so often a pearl finishes you off outright.

This pack removes that damage. Nothing else.

What it does

- No teleport damage. Pearls no longer hurt you when they land.
- No lethal pearls. You cannot die to your own ender pearl anymore.
- Everything else stays vanilla. Pearls fly, arc, land and teleport exactly the same way, they still get consumed, and endermen still throw them for you.
- Nothing else is protected. Fall damage, mobs, lava, PvP — all untouched. The protection only covers the pearl's own hit.

Why you might want it

Pearling becomes a movement tool instead of a health cost. Climbing towers, crossing ravines, escaping a fight, skipping a nether tunnel — you stop doing the mental math first. It is especially nice on long survival worlds, on multiplayer servers where pearls are how people get around, and in any world where you already have enough ways to lose half your health.

How it works

The teleport damage is applied by the game engine on the same tick the pearl lands, so the pack uses two layers to catch it:

1. An invisible Resistance effect applied the instant the pearl hits, which blocks the damage outright — this is what stops a pearl from killing you.
2. A health snapshot taken at the moment of impact. If any damage still slipped through, exactly that much health is given straight back.

The protection window lasts only 10 ticks (half a second) and it only opens when your own pearl lands, so it can never be used to soak up unrelated damage.

Requirements

- Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.80 or newer.
- No experimental toggles. The pack uses the stable scripting API, so you do not need to turn on Beta APIs.
- No resource pack. It is behavior-only, so on a server or Realm only the host needs to install it — other players don't have to download anything.

Installation

1. Download the .mcpack file.
2. Open it — Minecraft imports it automatically.
3. In your world settings, open Behavior Packs and activate No Damage Pearl.

Works on new and existing worlds, and it is safe to remove at any time: turning the pack off simply restores vanilla pearl damage, with no leftovers in your world.

Compatibility

Compatible with any pack that doesn't rewrite the ender pearl entity itself. It adds no new items, blocks, entities or recipes, and it doesn't replace any vanilla file, so conflicts are very unlikely.
