🔱 NewTridents
Have you ever wanted more tridents for your survival world?
NewTridents adds a new way to craft and use custom tridents in Minecraft Bedrock. Each trident has its own damage, durability, charge speed and special ability, so you can choose the one that fits your playstyle.
This version is more focused and polished than before. The old mining tridents were removed, the main system was improved, and the addon now includes a better guide, better throwing behavior, better durability handling and support for several vanilla trident enchantments.

🆕 What's New in This Version?
This update improves the addon a lot compared to the old version.
Main Changes
- Added the Trident Guide
- Added in-game pages for crafting, charged throws, abilities, enchantments and settings
- Added Perfect Throw feedback
- Quick throws are now weaker and slower
- Full charged throws are stronger
- Each trident now has its own charge speed
- Gold charges very fast
- Netherite and Obsidian charge slower because they are heavier

- Tridents can break when their durability runs out

📘 Trident Guide
Every player receives a Trident Guide when joining the world for the first time.
Use the guide to learn how the addon works without needing to leave the game.
The guide includes:

- Charged Throw explanation

- Enchantment information
- Personal settings
If you lose the guide, you can craft another one with:
- 1 Book
- 1 Prismarine Shard
🧱 Trident Table
To craft the new tridents, first craft the Trident Table.
You need:
- 1 Crafting Table
- 1 regular Minecraft Trident
- Prismarine Shards
After placing the table, interact with it and search for "Trident" to see the available custom trident recipes.
⚡ Charged Throws
NewTridents now has a better throw system.
Hold the use button to charge your trident before releasing it.
The longer you charge, the stronger the throw becomes.
During the charge, the action bar shows the current power:
- Low Power
- Medium Power
- High Power
- Perfect Throw
- Fully Charged
✨ Perfect Throw
If you release the trident at the right moment, you get a Perfect Throw.
A Perfect Throw gives the strongest launch and a small extra speed boost.
If you wait too long, the trident still becomes fully charged, but the perfect timing bonus is lost.
Different tridents charge at different speeds:
- Gold Trident charges the fastest
- Redstone Trident is also very quick
- Obsidian Trident and Netherite Trident are slower and heavier
🪄 Enchantment Support
NewTridents uses the trident enchantment slot, so the custom tridents can work with familiar Minecraft trident enchantments.
Supported enchantments
🔁 Loyalty
After the trident hits something, it returns to you after a short delay.
The returned item is the same trident you threw, keeping its durability, enchantments and custom name.
🌊 Riptide
Works while you are in water.
Instead of throwing normally, using the trident launches you in the direction you are looking.
Higher levels increase the propulsion strength.
⚡ Channeling
During thunderstorms, a successful impact can summon lightning.
If the weather is not a thunderstorm, the trident behaves normally.
🐟 Impaling
Deals extra damage to targets that are in water.
Higher levels increase the extra damage.
🛡️ Unbreaking
Reduces how often throwing the trident consumes durability.
This is very useful for expensive tridents like Netherite, Obsidian or Diamond.
🧩 Other enchantments
Mending and Curse of Vanishing work like normal Minecraft item enchantments.
⚙️ Admin Settings
Each player can configure their own NewTridents options.
This is useful in multiplayer because one player can keep everything enabled while another player can disable effects they do not want.
Settings include:
- Enable or disable special abilities
- Enable or disable special effects against players
- Allow or block TNT Trident block damage
- Enable or disable Ender Trident teleport
By default, TNT block damage starts disabled, so players do not accidentally destroy builds.
🔱 Current Tridents
This version includes 13 custom tridents.
Each one has its own role, damage, durability and charge speed.
Trident Abilities
🔥 Blaze Trident
Damage: 11
Durability: 520
Burns the target for 5 seconds when it hits.
A simple offensive trident that keeps pressure on enemies even after impact.
⚡ Copper Trident
Damage: 6
Durability: 280
Builds storm charge when you hit enemies.
On the third successful hit, lightning strikes where the trident lands and the charge resets.
💎 Diamond Trident
Damage: 10
Durability: 1520
A strong all-around trident with good damage, high durability and comfortable charge speed.
🌀 Ender Trident
Damage: 8
Durability: 450
Teleports you to a safe position near the impact point.
Useful for movement, escapes and reaching distant places. The teleport can be disabled in Settings.
🏆 Gold Trident
Damage: 6
Durability: 250
The fastest-charging trident in the addon.
It has low durability, but it is very quick and easy to throw repeatedly.
❄️ Ice Trident
Damage: 6
Durability: 310
Applies strong Slowness and Weakness on hit.
Good for controlling dangerous enemies and creating distance.
⛓️ Iron Trident
Damage: 9
Durability: 380
A simple and reliable combat trident.
Good before moving to more expensive materials.
🔷 Lapis Trident
Damage: 7
Durability: 300
Gives a small amount of XP when you hit a target.
Useful if you want some extra experience while fighting.
🟫 Netherite Trident
Damage: 12
Durability: 2030
The strongest and most durable trident in the addon.
It is fire resistant and is upgraded from the Diamond Trident using a Netherite Upgrade Template and Netherite Ingot.
⬛ Obsidian Trident
Damage: 11
Durability: 1810
A heavy trident with strong impact.
It pushes enemies back on hit and has very high durability.
🔴 Redstone Trident
Damage: 8
Durability: 350
Gives the user a short Speed boost after hitting a target.
Good if you like a faster combat style.
🟣 Shulker Trident
Damage: 10
Durability: 350
Briefly levitates targets when it hits them.
Can be useful for controlling enemies and setting up fall damage.
💥 TNT Trident
Damage: 9
Durability: 320
Creates an explosion when it hits a block or target.
By default, block damage is disabled to protect your world. You can enable block damage from Settings.
🧪 Recipes
Most custom tridents are crafted in the Trident Table using the material of the trident and sticks.
The Netherite Trident is different: it is upgraded from the Diamond Trident in the Smithing Table using:

Diamond Trident
Strong and reliable high-durability trident.

Slows and weakens enemies.

Charges and throws very quickly.
Ender Trident
Teleports you near the impact position.
Copper Trident
Builds lightning charge and summons lightning on the third hit.
