Mob War - Ultimate Chaos

What is up guys, Racing Raftaar back again with another behavior pack. I know it has been a little while since my last upload, but I wanted to try making something completely different this time. Normally when you play survival mode, all the monsters team up against you. You are the only target for zombies, skeletons, creepers, and basically everything else that spawns in the dark. It gets a bit repetitive after a while, right? So I thought, what if these mobs actually hated each other just as much as they hate the player? What if they could fight among themselves? That is exactly why I created the RR Mob War behavior pack.

​I spent a lot of time modifying the entity behavior files for almost all the major hostile mobs in the game. I went into the code and changed their target selection algorithms. Now, instead of just running after you, they will actively target and attack other monster types. For example, if a zombie and a skeleton spawn next to each other in a cave, they will not just ignore each other anymore. They will immediately start fighting.

​Let me give you an idea of how crazy this gets in the game. I modified the files for fifteen different mobs. The zombies, spiders, cave spiders, and skeletons will all fight each other. I also changed the husk and the stray, so the desert and the snow biomes are basically war zones now. The creepers are also included in this. If a creeper gets attacked by another mob, it will explode and take everything out with it. It is actually hilarious to watch.  

​It is not just the normal overworld mobs either. I went ahead and added the pillagers, vindicators, and witches into the mix. So if a pillager patrol runs into a group of zombies, it turns into a massive battle. Even the enderman and the phantom are included. Phantoms will swoop down and attack other mobs on the ground, and the enderman will get angry if any stray arrows hit him during a fight.  

​For the water and Nether areas, I modified the drowned, the blaze, and the wither skeleton. If you build a portal and go to a fortress, you will see wither skeletons fighting blazes. It completely changes how you explore the game because the mobs are too busy fighting each other to notice you. You can just sit back and watch them drop loot. But be careful, because if you get too close, they might still turn around and attack you.  

​I packaged all of this neatly into a single manifest file, so it is super easy to install. You do not need to do any crazy setups. Just download the pack, apply it to your world, and the mob wars will start automatically as soon as night falls.  

​Beta APIs Setup

​Just like my other custom packs, this one changes core entity behaviors, so you really need to make sure your world is set up correctly. Before you load into your survival world, go to the world settings and scroll down to the experiments toggle. You need to turn on the Beta APIs option. If you do not enable this, the custom target scripts will not work, and the mobs will just act like they normally do in vanilla Minecraft.
