Game Mode Switcher: Survival, Creative, Adventure & Spectator
One item. Every game mode.
Tired of typing /gamemode every time you want to change? Game Mode Switcher gives you a menu like the Java Edition game mode switcher: tap one item and pick Survival, Creative, Adventure or Spectator. It works with touch, mouse and controller, so it's perfect for mobile, PC and console. ๐ฎ๐งญ๐๏ธ

Features
- One-tap game modes: switch between Survival, Creative, Adventure and Spectator from a single menu
- Next Mode button: cycle through the modes, just like pressing F4 in Java
- Quick switch: sneak + use the item to jump straight to the next mode
- Spectator mode: the pack asks Minecraft for real Spectator mode, and uses a safe backup version if your game doesn't support it
- Spectator tools: teleport to a player, follow a player, teleport to coordinates, night vision and speed
- Can't lose it: the item can't be dropped, can't be put in chests and stays with you when you die
- Works everywhere: made for mobile, PC and console with simple tap menus
- Multiplayer ready: every player gets their own switcher
How it works ๐งญ
You get the Game Mode Switcher item automatically when you join. Use it and the menu opens.
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Use the item | The Game Mode Switcher menu opens |
| 2. Pick a mode | Tap Survival, Creative, Adventure or Spectator. Your current mode is marked |
| 3. Switch | You change mode right away and see it on the screen |
| 4. Spectator tools | In Spectator mode the menu also shows teleport, follow, night vision and speed |
The Game Mode Switcher item ๐ฎ
The item is a special menu item. It's not craftable and it doesn't show in the creative inventory.
- Use it: opens the Game Mode Switcher menu
- Sneak + use it: switches to the next game mode right away
- Can't be dropped: you can't throw it away or move it out of your inventory
- Kept on death: you always keep it when you die
- Always comes back: if it ever goes missing, you get a new one within a second
Spectator mode ๐๏ธ
When you pick Spectator, the pack first asks Minecraft for its real Spectator mode. If your game version doesn't allow that, it switches you to a safe spectator mode instead:
- You are invisible
- You can't take damage or get hungry
- You can fly through the world
- You can't break or place blocks or use things
While you are a spectator, you can double-tap sneak to open the menu, even if you can't use items. The spectator tools are:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Teleport to Player | Pick a player from the list and jump to them |
| Spectate Player (Follow) | Follow a player and see what they see. Sneak to stop |
| Teleport to Coordinates | Type X, Y and Z to go anywhere |
| Night Vision | Turns night vision on or off |
| Speed | Normal, Fast, Faster or Fastest |
Commands โจ๏ธ
You don't need commands, but they are there if you want them, for example in command blocks:
/scriptevent gms:survival
/scriptevent gms:creative
/scriptevent gms:adventure
/scriptevent gms:spectator
/scriptevent gms:next
/scriptevent gms:menu

FAQ
Do I need any experimental features?
The pack uses the Scripting API. If something doesn't work, turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings.
Do I need a Resource Pack?
The download includes a small Resource Pack for the item icon. It turns on together with the Behavior Pack.
The game mode doesn't change. What can I do?
Switching uses game commands, so make sure cheats are allowed in your world.
Can I craft the item or find it in the creative inventory?
No. You get it automatically, and it comes back if you ever lose it.
I'm in Spectator mode and can't use the item. How do I switch back?
Double-tap sneak to open the menu, or use /scriptevent gms:survival.
Is it real Spectator mode?
The pack uses Minecraft's real Spectator mode when your game version allows it. If not, it uses a safe backup spectator mode with invisibility, no damage and no block changes.
Can I use it on a server?
Yes, anywhere Bedrock allows behavior packs with scripting. Every player gets their own switcher.
Does it work on mobile and console?
It works anywhere Bedrock supports add-ons with scripting. The menus are made for touch and controller.
