# Coco & Vici's Real Baby & Giant Mod — The Size Changer That Actually Works
---
### From a dad who just wanted his kids to play as babies
I'm a dad. My kids — Coco and Vici — wanted to be tiny in Minecraft. That's it. Such a simple, obvious thing that every kid wants. Shrink down, explore the world from a different perspective, fit into tiny spaces, or stomp around as a giant.
So I looked for an addon. And what I found was either broken, visual-only with no POV change so you're floating in the sky looking down at your tiny body, or hadn't been updated in years. Not a single addon on any platform properly adjusts the camera to match your new size. Not one.
I make the addons that should already exist. The ones that cover such basic, common-sense functionality that you'd assume Mojang just forgot to include them. If your kid has ever asked "can I be a baby in Minecraft?" and you spent an hour searching for something that actually works — this is for you.
---
### What makes this different?
**This is the first Bedrock size-changing addon that properly adjusts your point of view.**
When you shrink, you actually see the world from your new height. When you grow into a giant, you look down at the world from up high. Every other addon just scales the model and calls it a day — your camera stays at normal eye level, completely breaking the experience. Not here.
This is achieved through a custom **orbit camera system** that positions the camera precisely for each size. It's not a hack, it's a proper implementation using Bedrock's camera preset API.

### 4 Transformation Sizes
| Potion | Scale | Collision Box | Movement Speed | Health | Camera |
|--------|-------|---------------|----------------|--------|--------|
| 👶 **Baby Potion** | 0.57× | Small (0.25 × 0.92) | Slower | 10 HP | Lowered POV |
| 🐜 **Tiny Potion** | 0.33× | Tiny (0.15 × 0.52) | Slower | 6 HP | Near ground level |
| 🧑 **Adult Potion** | 1.0× (Normal) | Default (0.6 × 1.8) | Normal | 20 HP | Default POV |
| 🦖 **Giant Potion** | 4.0× | Default | Faster | 40 HP | Elevated POV |
Every transformation changes **everything** — not just how you look, but how you move, how much damage you can take, and most importantly, how you see the world.

### Survival Crafting — Brewing Recipes
These aren't creative-only items. Brew them at a brewing stand like real potions:
| Potion | Input | Reagent |
|--------|-------|---------|
| 👶 Baby Potion | Water Bottle | Amethyst Shard |
| 🐜 Tiny Potion | Baby Potion | Echo Shard |
| 🦖 Giant Potion | Water Bottle | Nether Star |
| 🧑 Adult Potion | Water Bottle | Diamond |
The progression makes sense — baby is easy to craft, tiny requires going deeper (echo shards from the deep dark), and giant requires a Wither fight. Growing back to normal costs a diamond, so think before you shrink.

### Crawl Fix — No More Underground Camera
A problem every other size mod ignores: what happens when a small player crawls into a 1-block space? The camera clips through the floor and you're staring at the void.
This addon includes a **crawl detection system** using an animation controller that monitors `query.is_crawling` in real time. When you start crawling, the custom camera is cleared so Minecraft's default crawl camera takes over. When you stand back up, the size-appropriate camera is instantly restored. No glitches, no underground views, no janky transitions.
---
### Transformation Effects
Each transformation plays:
- **Particle effects** at multiple heights around the player
- **Sound effects** audible to all nearby players (within 15 blocks)
- The adult (restore) potion plays a fizz effect with dissolving particles
These aren't just visual fluff — they let other players know when someone just transformed.

### Important Notes
**⚙️ Required: Beta APIs + Experimental Creator Camera**
This addon uses the Script API and custom camera presets. Enable both **Beta APIs** and **Experimental Creator Camera** in your world settings under Experiments.
**🎥 POV Cannot Be Changed While Transformed**
When in baby, tiny, or giant mode, the camera perspective is locked to the orbit camera. This is intentional and necessary — it's the only way to properly position the POV at your transformed height. Switching to first-person or changing the camera would reset the height back to normal, completely breaking the size illusion. Drink the Adult Potion to restore normal mode and regain full camera control.
**📦 Uses player.json**
This addon modifies the player entity to apply real collision box changes, movement speed adjustments, and health scaling. This means it may conflict with other addons that also modify player.json. If you need a conflict-free visual-only size changer, check out my companion addon **Size Potions** (no player.json, no POV change).
