NIGHTMARE DIFFICULTY: Harder mobs, world and survival

This addon introduces plenty of changes to make the world of Minecraft a much harder, but also slightly more rewarding, place to explore in

Think that the world of Minecraft is...not challenging enough? Is the regular ol’ hard difficulty simply not enough for you, and you’d like to have the game ramped up even more? Well, this addon may just be for you! On top of buffing all the mobs across the game, giving some new abilities and others improved attacks, other aspects of have been updated as well to make things more challenging. This includes more sparse structure loot tables, increased damage from various sources and many nerfs to the player that will all work together to create a NIGHTMARE difficulty for only the most tough players!

A plethora of changes to various parts of the Minecraft world have been made to make the game a lot harder, the most notable of which being updates to mobs. The majority of mobs have received increased stats and all of them have at least received some AI changes: for example animals will avoid you and all mobs have adjusted spawn rules and loot tables. All mobs drop more items on average and others have new drops, but animals spawn less often and monsters are more common and can spawn in higher light levels. Stuff like that to make your experience harder! There are so many changes made that it would be really hard and very long to list all of them, so I'll just summarise some of the more notable things this addon does to your world and let you discover the rest on your own:

General Mob Changes:

*Damage stat for all mobs and health for most mobs is increased
*All baby animals will take twice as long to grow up

*Most animals will avoid the player and spawn less often, but drop more items on death

*For many animals, their baby versions will spawn more frequently, making early survival harder as they do not drop anything

*Some harder mobs drop more experience or items on death

*Most mob drops will have increased quantities of items and higher chances to drop rarer items

*Monsters can spawn up to light level 11

*Mobs spawned during ominous trials will have more dangerous gear, and the spawners will also summon more dangerous projectiles

Player Changes:

*The player will take double damage from many sources (like drowning, suffocation, magma blocks, freezing, etc) and start to drown after 7 seconds underwater

*The player takes longer to recover oxygen

*You won’t drop as much of your experience on death

*All food items will restore less hunger, and those that give an effect give a weaker, shorter version

*Bundles can only carry up to 32 items at a time, and you can no longer put bundles inside of other bundles

*Trial Keys can only stack up to 1. Make sure you bring a lot of inventory space with you to Trial Chambers…

Environmental/Other things:

*TNT/TNT minecarts have a more powerful explosion and create fire

*Infested stone commonly generates all over the world, making it easy for you to accidentally release silverfish whilst mining if you’re not careful

*Veins of magma blocks will now generate in caves below y0, and more magma spawns across the nether

*Patches of powder snow will now randomly generate in snowy biomes and more of it generates in mountains, making your treks across these biomes a bit more dangerous…

*Trial Chamber and Jungle Temple dispensers contain more dangerous traps

*If you walk into a village with bad omen, the raid will begin after only 5 seconds


Some Notable Mob Changes:

*Creepers have slightly reduced health, but will run at you and explode even faster than usual

*Witches can throw and drink more powerful potions

*Many mobs have an increased chance of having armour and equipment, which also has an increased chance of being enchanted

*Many mobs will disable shields on melee hit

*Blazes can alternate between firing small and explosive fireballs

*Evokers will attack faster and can also summon Pillagers and Vindicators in combat

*Ghasts are smaller and can fly around faster while attacking

*Wither Skeletons, Piglin Brutes, Vexes and Vindicators spawn with stronger weapons

*Piglin Brutes can spawn randomly in Nether Waste/Crimson Forest biomes alongside other Piglins

*Endermites spawn randomly in the End and can teleport around

*Creakings can climb up blocks and inflict blindness on attack

*Zoglins spawn randomly in Warped Forest biomes and won't attack Endermen

*The Wither and Ender Dragon have many new and altered abilities to make their battles more challenging 

*And many more...
