Description

Worms-Mod — Worms Arsenal

HYTALE · EXPLOSIVE ARSENAL

Gold in. Chaos out.

Exploding sheep. Holy grenades. A pigeon with a very questionable flight plan. Worms-Mod brings the wonderfully absurd arsenal of Worms into Hytale — with custom models, animations, spectacular effects and a craftable weapon shop.

36 weapons to buy · 100 items per stack · 5 coins per gold ingot

Announcements & information — current development

Development update: November 1, 2026

In development: an optional crafting progression system. These plans are not included as playable features in release 0.41.2; the current release uses the weapon shop.

Choose how your arsenal grows

  • Shop Mode: keep the existing gold-coin economy and buy weapons from the Worms Arsenal machine.
  • Craft Mode: a planned switch in ArsenalSettings will let a save/server use crafting instead. All weapons are intended to be craftable at a dedicated Worms Arsenal workbench, available only in this mode.
  • Three upgrade tiers: the workbench models progress from a timber field workbench with hand tools and a vise, to a reinforced munitions workshop with a press and supply tanks, then an armored assembly station with a gantry, assembly gripper and control terminal.
  • Current development stage: three original workbench models and their textures have been created. Mode configuration, crafting recipes, tier requirements and mode-dependent workbench availability still need to be implemented. Material costs and weapon distribution across tiers are not final.

Already available in release 0.41.2

The current release includes all 36 catalog weapons, including the Uzi, Nuclear Test and manually detonated Super Banana Bomb. Charged-weapon input, the creative category, machine collision and firearm feedback have also received updates.

Some problems need a plan. Others need a banana.

Pick your flavour of chaos

Bananas with consequences

The banana bomb releases six visible clusters that bounce like rubber balls, settle, then explode. The Super Banana puts you in charge: trigger the main bomb and its clusters yourself.

Absolutely unqualified animal delivery

Send in animated explosive sheep, charging cows or a skunk that leaves a poison trail before finishing in a green mushroom cloud. The homing pigeon weaves towards its target, dropping tiny letters along the way.

A little guidance. A lot of personality.

Charge a Bazooka shot, throw a timed grenade, or pick your guided weapon: a direct homing missile, a drunken pigeon, or Patsy’s precise obstacle-dodging missile with a trail of glowing rainbow stars.

Call in the jet

Bombs, letters, mines, carpet rolls, burning sheep or napalm: mark your drop zone and call in the payload. Carpet bombs bounce and explode repeatedly; napalm bursts above the ground and rains fire.

Make the last shot count

The shotgun gives you two separately aimed shots. The Uzi fires ten-round salvos from a thirty-round magazine, while the minigun spins up before its burst. The flamethrower delivers a ten-block flame jet with 25 seconds of fuel and a visible tank gauge.

When subtlety has left the server

Shake the world with Earthquake, unleash a minute of Armageddon, call down the gigantic Concrete Donkey, or order a Nuclear Test: a jet-dropped atomic bomb with a 47-block pressure wave, spreading fire and a growing two-tier burning mushroom cloud.

The complete arsenal

All 36 weapons below are implemented and available from the Worms Arsenal machine.

01 / Classic explosives

Bazooka · Grenade · Dynamite · Mine · Cluster bomb · Holy hand grenade · Banana bomb · Super banana bomb

02 / Lead & fire

Handgun · Shotgun · Uzi · Minigun · Flamethrower · Petrol bomb

03 / Precision & punch

Homing missile · Patsy's magic bullet · Baseball bat · Fire punch · Dragonball · War axe

04 / Wild cards

Exploding sheep · Skunk · Homing pigeon · Mad cows · Priceless Ming vase

05 / Air support

Airstrike · Mail strike · Mine strike · MB bomb · Mike's carpet bomb · Burning sheep strike · Napalm strike

06 / The big red button

Earthquake · Armageddon · Concrete donkey · Nuclear test

Mine gold. Mint coins. Meet your new supplier.

  1. Mint your money. At the normal Workbench, open Tinkering and turn 1 gold ingot into 5 gold coins.
  2. Build the Worms Arsenal. Craft the machine with 12 iron ingots, 6 copper ingots, 2 gold ingots and 8 wood trunks. Place it with two blocks of vertical space.
  3. Pick your loadout. Interact with the machine and spend your coins. A baseball bat starts at 2 coins; the Concrete Donkey costs 60. Each purchase gives one weapon.

All implemented weapons stack to 100. Most weapons are consumed on use; magazine weapons spend their remaining rounds first, and the flamethrower spends its fuel before the item is destroyed.

Simple controls. Spectacular results.

  • Charged shots and throws: hold left click to build power, then release. More charge means more launch power.
  • Timed explosives: right click with a supported grenade or Dynamite to cycle the shared 1–5 second fuse. The HUD shows the current setting; it is shared across the save/server. The normal banana bomb always uses five seconds; the Super Banana is manually triggered.
  • Targeted air support: left click to mark, left click again to call the strike, right click to cancel. Creature-targeting weapons use forgiving target selection near your crosshair.

Your world. Your destruction rules.

Choose whether Worms weapons can tear up ordinary terrain and builds. The global setting applies even to projectiles already in flight.

  • /worms blocks off — Disable terrain destruction
  • /worms blocks on — Enable terrain destruction
  • /worms blocks status — Show the current setting

Requires worms.admin permission or the server console. Weapon damage, knockback, fire and poison remain active. Special case: the Concrete Donkey still fells trees with blocks off, but makes no crater. The shared fuse and block setting are saved.

Ready to open the arsenal?

Install the complete worms_mod_0.41.2.jar in Hytale/UserData/Mods, keep one complete version installed, then restart the game or server. This build targets Hytale 0.7.2.
