Void Armor 2.5.6
G.N.O.M.E. Systems Update
Several weapons were found operating under the dangerous assumption that capitalization was optional.
It is not.
What Changed
- Cleaned up a pile of badly labeled Void weapon parts.
- Fixed the Whirlwind so it stops arguing with Hytale about what its name is.
- Cleaned up some old armor settings that were being completely ignored.
- Reworked shield bashes so stamina and sound effects behave properly.
- Tidied up a few weapon effects that had been stuffed into the wrong drawer.
The Whirlwind Incident
The Mithril Longsword developed a small problem.
After using Whirlwind, it would occasionally continue sparkling long after the violence had ended.
Naturally, the first solution was to remove the particles.
This also removed most of the Whirlwind.
The intern responsible defended the decision by pointing out that:
“There were definitely no stuck particles anymore.”
He has been reassigned to counting bolts in the basement.
The Whirlwind has since been restored.
It now spins, damages things, makes an irresponsible amount of noise, and generally stops glowing after the sword is used again.
G.N.O.M.E. Engineering has officially classified this as:
“Acceptable. Stop touching it.”
Armor Maintenance
Some Adamantite armor contained old instructions that Hytale had been quietly ignoring.
Those instructions have been removed.
The armor itself remains just as protective.
No interns were protected during testing.
Shield Maintenance
Several Void Shields were discovered to be following combat instructions written in a place Hytale apparently refuses to acknowledge exists.
The instructions have been moved somewhere more official.
Shield bashes now consume stamina, make appropriate noises, and continue to injure anything standing too close.
G.N.O.M.E. Safety Notice
If a weapon continues glowing after combat, do not immediately dismantle the entire effect system.
We tried that.
It was extremely effective.
Unfortunately, it also removed the effect system.
